  1. Sealer on the bolts as they all go into water jackets of the motor. As they are are old I,d suggest something on the thicker side and not thread lockers which are thin. I do not like silicone sealers with bad luck- others have used them OK. Prefer Permatex brands myself, but? DJ
  2. Jacob126, Check out this co. for weld on Mopar motor mounts and trans for V-8,s to older Mopars. https://www.hotrodhotline.com/butchs-cool-stuff-quality-line-1928-1965-custom-and-rodder-parts DJ

  4. Pauld, Maybe try calling this company that has many parts made for them by top companies for older cars. My make some parts themselves. Maybe they can help you or direct you to one that will make the parts for you? https://egge.com/info/catalog/ Best to ya, DJ
  5. Cannot say these days but Calif. had for years outlawed them. Had a good friend years ago who drove a service truck 3/4 ton from central Ca. to the S.F. area (90 miles + per day) 5 + days per week with No enforcement actions. The Ca. highway Patrol had many other big issues-then and now. Also while researching Ca. found this on Wash. https://law.justia.com/codes/washington/2012/title-46/chapter-46.37/section-46.37.5185/ Still illegal, someone on this forum must be up on this? DJ
  6. Why is the spring of the points (metal about 1/4 wide) not under the screw with the black wire to the condenser and the yellow out to the coil connection. Picture make look that way? DJ
  7. My 230 ci Mopar rebuild did the exact same -close, but not right on. I removed twice, checked for TDC on compression stroke both times no change. Shrugged my shoulders and moved ahead with build. My car runs very strong for a old flathead motor, no problems what so ever. Up to you. Talk to machine shop first about this if you had/have one? DJ
  8. Real problem is- where can you get some Real guarantee that what you paid more ( if you could locate some) for is good functioning quality product wherever it is made? Very few seem to be actually available nowadays. Almost all use some (used to be Good brand names) and cheaply made overseas-mostly China! Most here would choose to pay more but with no assurances??? I believe this would be true with real life use experiences. Nos for some products new or old rebuilt products made is the US is no longer any guarantee of long lasting parts. Old rebuilds with old rubber is a good example. DJ

  15. Well I ordered online some summer open air type sandals. On 6/25 I received online order confirmation. Then I received notice of waiting for USPS for pickup on 7/1 with the tracking #. Following up with tracking # it appears that it has not moved?? Seller/shippers issues?? Chinese seller with ship still waiting to get container ship to port with a lie about being shipping? Normally USPS delivers reliably here but Slowly !!. DJ
  16. From only one experience with Liquid tape I hated it no resistant to wear at all. I worked with rental construction lifts etc. and that product would Never hold up. Totally disappointed with it as a quick- easy repair and never used again. Your choice. I will never use it again. DJ
  17. I don't lose whatever is needed. I have one. Just where is it?? Sometimes it is quicker to buy one when needed.
