  1. Thanks for the reply, but I'd really like to find a part # and source with the adjustable 2 piece arm as your picture shows. So much easier to mount and adjust. DJ
  2. Source for the brake switch with the adjustable arm.?? I see them sold on some old Chevy parts sellers at To big of bucks I am sure. So knowing a Mfg'er would save some $$. TKS, DJ
  3. That would make this way harder ( and $$) o use in a 4 wheel stock system, but still do -able with a side line with a adjustable valve- BUT- way to much effort and- - For those with updated front discs no biggie. If I had read that info first I would have at least added this info. Thanks for checking this and posting- Sniper, but you are the Sniper! ? DJ
  4. Is a pressurized system? Industrial motor of later years most likely were but how to know?. A pressure test tool on the system would tell for sure . Is the overflow tube in the filler neck above the seat for the radiator cap seat or below?. While pressure testing leave the tester on on start up and warm up and see if it holds pressure say up to about 10 -12 psi which if I remember correctly is about all even the later Mopar flat 6's ran in the industrial uses-- it was only about 25+ years ago that i last worked with these , but- ? Add-- test the rad. cap for ability to hold pressure to the rated # psi stamped on the cap. What is it labeled. Info will help the forum members give you answers- - DJ
  5. https://ecihotrodbrakes.com/inline_brake_light_switch.htmlSaw this the other days for people who have been plagued with this problems as discussed a while back here. Not Cheap but is a alternative. FYI only -on my part https://ecihotrodbrakes.com/inline_brake_light_switch.html D
  6. Do not even consider regular fuel line for use on a FI system!!! I had to repair several pieces of personnel lift equipment that the line switch was made -because that was the shop had. Also regular hose clamps. Buy the FI clamps! required to squeeze tight enough for the pressure. 30- 50+ PSI VS 5?. Caught fire and ended up in major time and repairs. Big $$. DJ
  7. Heat and bend a open end wrench to fit the area? Very many small turns ! Always seemed to be a hassle for me on a 50 Ply. with 3 spd. ? DJ
  8. Most electric fans are reversible just by the way the 2 wires are connected to power/ground. Easy! No changes to the blade etc. Check to be sure before ordering. DJ
  9. I'd guess same as some auto oil drain plug, but a Guess!! Metric dimensions in reality ?? DJ
  10. Never seen a Reasonably priced R-10 on EBay for the past 10 years! Maybe you can hire Paul Flaming or Lauren to locate one for you for son type of fee. Lauren says she locates them cheaply and loves em' Paul has bought many more than he ever needed somehow from Ca. to Maine.. He may not be real cheap however, he is very frugal with his $$ and uses profits for more cars and parts! ?? Paul i'm messin' with you - I hope your health will soon let you back in the shop! DJ
  11. What Marc called a C clip I have always known as a E clip. Looks like a fancy E to me. That is what the hardware store also called them. DJ
  12. The horns can work if carefully tubed (can be a pain to do) are Very loud and do not hold on for long, May not last long then.?? Mine took quite heavy wire to work regularly and you also need to use a 12volt relay. Good grounds for sure. My experience with org. 6 V. 1950 horns on 12 V. DJ
  13. Do some online searches as to what size of master cylinder bore to use depends on pedal ratios for power like (long stroke) vs heavier pedal ( short stoke pedal) required to stop. What residual valves needed etc. Too many possibilities for me to get into even if I had all the knowledge! I do read a lot but_ _ It Is out there for you to research. DJ
  14. If you wait a few years and you will shrink?, like I did ,you will be fine to see through the windshield soon! ? My bad back and disc deterioration caused me to lose several inches, I do not wish that on anyone!! ? DJ
  15. How about a company that sells cable parts and make custom cable to your specs.?? https://cdn11.bigcommerce.com/s-r5ih0/stencil/4b784b50-3203-0137-9a3a-0242ac110004/e/51ec6ff0-3cea-0137-1bdd-0242ac110020/img/body-bg.png controlcables.com - if link is not working. DJ
  16. I had to adjust the mount on the Chinese water pump I got from Rock auto to align the belts - back some 1/8+" . Maybe if move out something like these from Speedway? DJ
  17. If all else fails- read the instructions! ? ? DJ
  18. It seems when going to next post of forums is very slow to load just now and shows many forums members as newbies on this forum on the forum including moderator Tod! Quite interesting - -I think. ??? Just my computer? My computer just got the crabs? DJ
  19. You may want to get some ideas from thiscompany that has sold aftermarket seat belts for older cars for years and is a solid company. There are how to install videos give some solid mounting inside of the pillars they have used that perhaps you can use? See Address- https://www.julianos.com/default.asp DJ
  20. Heck my 50 4 dr. Plymouth had no headliner at all, just bare steel metal and the bows. For just about $150 bucks he made one from Nagacow (Naugahyde) and installed it that fit as good as I needed, not 100% tight in one rear corner but looks great! Very fine overall. It was about 6 years ago at a very slow time for him- Just before Christmas and needed some money? That price was as cheap or maybe cheaper than buying a pre-made headliner and then paying for the install. He was a small shop that was not fancy but work was fine for driver cars. He also made some door panel and kick panels for a friends 55 Chev. with no patterns with waterproof cardboard? and covered them nicely! He brought the car to him for about a hour! DJ.
  21. Picture of the steer wheel and turn signal switch if outside of the steer wheel/column would be a help to correct answer form members. DJ
  22. Hope they work well with brake fluids! Used those type of seal in the past on some hydraulic oil uses where Nothing else would work, hard to get at times back 20+ years ago. Machine required them. Looks good, best of luck, good to know a current source! DJ.
  23. If you fell a fan is still needed for slow speed crawls like a parades etc. many are available by searching 6 volt auto electric radiator fan on the internet , but have good luck with a major brand such as- https://www.amazon.com/Maradyne-MP166K-6-Pacesetter-Universal-Reversible/dp/B01GIA6M5M/ref=pd_vtp_3/141-7671105-0805869?pd_rd_w=ePd5l&pf_rd_p=96226b5f-2d9a-439b-be45-97603787c682&pf_rd_r=HKRZXN03E1MPNJ2S6ZYF&pd_rd_r=027ce774-4938-446a-a829-2157232fc51a&pd_rd_wg=s0iJO&pd_rd_i=B01GIA6M5M&psc=1
  24. I one took my 50 Ply. 4 dr. out to the freeway in afternoon traffic (not a great idea but- ) I have a 3.9 rear gears in stock rearend plus added R-10 OD trans. While the traffic normally runs 65 mph in the slow lane (there three thru town) I hit the 2nd lane and then then third and was passing everyone in the fast lane, maybe 80 in OD plus room to go faster per comfort and engine noise. Mostly flat, very small rises in elevation. I woke up in short time about the traffic, big trucks and the my stock Brakes- which are great but- What the hell was I doing? Slowed down and took the closest exit off of freeway! ? Time to slow down and head back home! Never tried that again! ? Just my short experience with gear ratios and rear gears. BTY- 205-15 radials -aftermarket chromies wheels -230 CI motor w/B&B single -single stock exhaust. DJ
