Just read (and cross posted on the Plymouth/Dodge forum) that Langdon's Stovebolt now sells newly designed cast dual exhaust manifolds for Desoto and Chrysler 25" blocks in addition to the Fenton syle Dodge/Plymouth headers that he as been selling. http://www.langdonsstovebolt.com/parts-faqs/spitfire-headers/

OT Space(s) for Hershey Needed
1937 Dodge replied to 1937 Dodge's topic in Mopar Flathead Truck Forum
Interesting discussion! Thanks for the lively input. All set for this year's October meet. -
Need space(s) for Hershey 2012. If you have any leads, please call at: 586-739-9601. Thanks!!

Yes, you have to move the radiator 2" forward for the additional clearance. Don C. does have a lot of helpful information in his postings. Might want to recheck that info too using the search function. This was a popular upgrade for Plymouth/Dodge guys in the 40's & 50's. I put a 265 in place of the 218 in my '37 Dodge MC.

My friend is rebuilding a 25" IND engine. I already have a 265 and a 218 and don't need another. Right now it is a 251 but he has matching crank and rods that would convert it into a 265 during the build. Anyone interested should call 586-739-9601. Early enough in rebuild to allow for some modifications. Engine is located in SE Michigan.

Need Part Number for 1937 Dodge throwout bearing
1937 Dodge replied to 1937 Dodge's topic in Mopar Flathead Truck Forum
Thanks, Todd. Ordered the part from NAPA this morning. That's the number that I thought that I would need but wanted to get input from someone who actually has replaced one and knows that it will fit. -
Figured it would have been posted before but checked search on forum and could not find latest part number for throwout bearing for my '37 Dodge MC. Number I have from parts book is 581499. Looks like they were used in Dodge trucks from '35 to '56. From what I can tell it may be a N1054 or N1087 Anyone know the correct replacement part number? Thanks

Great job! Super sound. Love your engine and tach.

I also converted my 25" 218 to an IND 251. While rebuilding the 251 we put in an IND 265 crank and rods. With the added HP and torque of the 265, I went with a light weight 4 bolt flywheel. Had a machinist drill out additional holes to fit the extra bolts on the 265 crank. No problems with holes lining up. I had to use a shorter starter to give me additional clearance for the full flow oil filter that bolts on the ignition side of the block. My IND block had a gear driven cam instead of chain driven. Used a cam off of a 265 crown marine block. Little more lift and duration than stock cam but still mild enough to have a smooth idle. You will definitely notice the extra cubic inches.

Talked with my friend last night. He just pulled a 265 Chrysler Industrial crank and matching rods from a 25" block. I am mentioning this because when I rebuilt my 25" Dodge block, I put in the 265 rods and crank to up the cubic inches. He also has a bare 230 Plymouth block. You can reach him at: 586-739-9601

Don't see many 1937 Plymouths! Any more photos?

Like the colors and the wooden side boards. -
Nice looking Engine and tranny. What are the gear ratios of your T-5?
