temp was 36 degrees this morning and yesterday morning. not ready for this yet ! how cold was or is it at your place ?

Yesterday and the day before it was 38°F in the morning with mid to high 60s for the high. That is unseasonably cool for us. This morning its a closer to normal 46°F. Rain expected starting tomorrow or tomorrow night.

It was 41 this morning. That is unseasonably cool by about 10 degrees, but it seems worse because it was 75 degrees on Mon. afternoon.

33 degrees here in central Massachusetts when I left for the office at 6:30a. Weatherman says its 5 degrees cooler than normal, but feels seasonal to me.

We had a small pond near our house where I grew up and Dad always referred to it as "Thanksgiving pond". Dad was born in '36 and grew up in the same place. I asked him a couple years ago how the pond got its name, and he told me that when he was a kid he was able to skate on the pond by Thanksgiving, so that's what they always called it. I only learned recently that the official name of the pond is Whites Pond.

So I want to believe based on Dads recollection, that we are actually warmer now than 70+ years ago. But as I age my migratory instinct to go south grows stronger every year despite the ture temperature.

Right at 32 yesterday AM, 30 this AM. That's about right for this time of year around here. Saw that 40Plymouth had bright sunny skies in the Catskills, it was overcast here all day. That's my main complaint about western NY weather - the winters aren't that bad, but they sure are gloomy. Sun doesn't come out much between October and March or so.

Robert, up at 3:30 a.m? I can set my clock by 3:05 a.m. I then do some reading, plan my day, work on some office project and then go back to sleep usually until about 5:30. For you young guys, this is your future.

Checked my thermo meter. 45 degrees with a clear sky, we usually warm up about 20 degrees. It's interesting to see the similarities of temperature horizontally accross the continent, mountains excluded.
