John-T-53 Posted April 2, 2019 Report Posted April 2, 2019 Keeping an eye on the rain....the weather keeps going back and forth about rain or clouds or both on Saturday. As of now it says rain on Friday and overcast on Saturday. A rainy Friday will get in the way of our cleanup and mowing day... Quote

48Dodger Posted April 2, 2019 Author Report Posted April 2, 2019 Its less than a week away....time to fill the gas tanks and load the ice chests brothers! With the BBQ almost here.... it always happens, a few forum names will come up....some asking questions like "wonder what he's like?" "wonder if he'll come out next year?" or "wouldn't it be great if that guy was here, I'd like to talk with him". It's what created the "Wish You Were Here Award".An award that reminds everyone on the forum, no matter where you're at, you're invited!! Past winners: 2008 Don Coatney 2009 Merle Coggins 2010 Hank aka HanksB3B 2011 Ed aka Young ED 2012 Bud aka Budstruck 2013 Tim Adams aka Plymouthy Adams 2014 Mark aka ggdad1951 and Davin aka Desotodav 2015 Joe Hanely aka 52b3 Joe 2016 Dave aka Dave72dt 2017 Rob aka Dodge4ya 2018 JBNeal This year, its a guy who has tried to get to the Q' a few times and has defaulted because of work or his family. We all can all get behind a guy like that, because that's what really matters most. But that doesn't change the fact it would be nice to see him here someday! He always has a kind word when needed, and helpful information if relevant. We all know he has owned the most beautiful semi-truck you've ever seen in recent history of these old Dodge Trucks. But, again, he choose family, when choosing a classic ride that would include everyone when it came time to enjoy the weekend. He'll get here someday, and I know that when he does, it'll seem like he's never missed a single one. • 2019 Todd B • Congratulations!!! Look for your trophy in the mail my friend. 48D 6 1 Quote
Old CWO Posted April 2, 2019 Report Posted April 2, 2019 (edited) The wife and I will definitely be there Saturday. Unfortunately we're not bringing the Dodge this time - maybe next year after I get the T5 swapped in. I don't think the old beast is up for pulling the Carson Pass as it is. I can't trailer it down either as my other truck is too wimpy for the job.... We will, however, be bringing some genuine brewed in Reno Great Basin Ichthyosaur "ICKY" IPA as an apology of sorts for leaving the Dodge at home! Edited April 2, 2019 by Old CWO grammar 2 Quote
