  1. Gummi Pflege stift...the name says it all. Love it! 👍
  2. I think you should start a thread showing your rebuild. I would enjoy watching your progress.
  3. Marine grad plywood with stainless strips.
  4. Not same year or model, but a nice woodie DeSoto
  5. Saw this cool woodie whilst riding my '51 Schwinn
  6. Just don't talk about small block Chevs and you'll be ok. ? Don't ask dumb, redundant questions and you'll be ok too .. Rest in Peace Don Coatney.
  7. Here are the Moog springs before I cut a coil off. It's a slightly stiffer ride. I don't quite ooze over the railroad tracks like I did with the old springs. I kept the old springs if I or the next owner want to go back to original.
  8. https://butchscoolstuff.com/ This where I got my blocks.
  9. I will find that info for you tomorrow. You need to find the correct shackle bolt width. A generic block kit is too narrow.
  10. Moog springs. Cut one coil off. 2" blocks in the back. I'm happy with the stance.
  11. Here is another option: https://youtu.be/8G3MJGuKIQ8 Pull the wheel and inner fender. Pull the valve covers. Let the engine come to temp and adjust while engine is running.
  12. Went to the Goodings car auction last year during Pebble Beach car week. Some beautiful cars. Unfortunately wasn't able to take anything home ?
  13. Give Terrell Machine a call. I used them for much of my rebuild. You'll find that they are the least expensive
  14. I was fortunate to acquire this 1975 Norton Commando 850. I should have it road worthy by the end of the month. New tires, new carburetors, ect.
  15. This may help you with understanding the engine codes. https://www.t137.com/registry/help/otherengines/otherengines.php
  16. I pulled this from the internet. Not sure if it correct or not. Maybe someone else can verify: That would be a 6 cylinder 1957 Dodge engine block. K: 1957 D; Dodge S: Standard 6: whatchagot 16432: 15,432nd 6-banger cast (beginning with 1001) Actually, the S stands for DeSoto. The 1957 DeSoto Firesweep used Dodge's 325-cid V8 and the engine number prefix on the 1957 325 engine was KDS - 1957 Dodge DeSoto. When the 1957 model year began, the Dodge six cylinder engine number prefix was D72. But on January 11, 1957, the engine number prefix was changed to KDS6 at number 9601 when DeSoto began building six cylinder Firesweep 4dr sedans for the taxi market. The Firesweep six was not much of a success - total production hit 139 units.

  18. Andy Welcome. You will find plenty of help and info on this forum. Post some pics of your ride when you get a chance.
  19. I have a Langdon's 32/36 Weber on a rebuilt 230 1947 Dodge. Original fluid drive trans. Original rear end. Electric fuel pump. I'm very happy with it. I can cruise comfortably at 65, but rarely need to. Is it necessary for better performance?..not really Do you get better gas mileage?.. probably. For the price of finding a single barrel Carter BB that's not worn out might be comparable to the price of a new Weber. I'm not knowledgeable to argue the merits of double vs single. My car starts reliably. It idles smoothly. I don't need it warm up to drive. My 2 cents This may or may not help
