With regards to a rebuid on the Cummins, long ago when I had a '92 4wd, I talked with a Cummins rep and he told me that the 12v was easily good for 500k before I needed to worry so I traded it in at 400k...still running well. I'd say run it as is.

"new" fenders pounded "straight" and installed.  Now I can make sure the fender is centered on the wheel and align everything and finish the cab mounts.

What truck is that fender off of?

an "F" or "H"...1.5 ton plus sized.  There is a fender flare not on yet that fills it out a bit (see similar below):

2020...unlikely with money constraints :(

At this point off about 1/2" by tape measure and I'll get the flares on for a beauty shot...actually in the way for measurments

That center cap will do half the centering for you......lol.......rotate the wheel so the blue arrow points up, take your measurements of the wheel well, find center mark on fender and hang your plumb bob.

When the 2 meet your tire is centered in the fender opening.

Torched the springs to get the chassis to sit right (bunch of parts missing that would weigh enough to compress the front suspension).  And then the cab mounts got put in.  Even with the shop at a "cool" 75°, outside hit near 100° yesterday, it wasn't all that comfortable with the humidity so high, then ad the torch and welding heat!

removed the cab (glad I figured out this EASY way vs. what I was originally thinking) and gave the frame a degreasing power wash...now at least I won't be full of it head to toe when I work in him.

Been TOO long since I worked on TODD.  Right now in between wood projects so time to grind down some early welds and redo so I'm not embarrassed by them!  And cut out all the cross bracing as it's no longer needed and I can now climb around inside w/o being a contortionist!

After fighting and fighting to get the passenger door to line up right, I called the neighbor.  He runs his own hot rod shop and has built MANY over the years.  He's been kind enough to help me when I needed for nothing but a beer and a smile.  I think he just likes helping me learn.  Regardless, he came over and we chatted, and we tried, we got the torch out and bent hinges, and tried...and finally came to the conclusion below.  I think he loved the pucker factor I had when I resigned myself to doing the cuts.   Also we will likely work on flattening the top of the window to follow the now long flat section of the roof to make it look more pleasing.

Looks like you need to get the rain gutter finished up so you have a solid reference line to trim to.  Drivers door fit the same way?

the gutter isn't finished but the line right above the door is.  I just haven't worried yet  about the little metal bent up section.  Diver side is better but not great.  I can see doing the same over there.  Part of me thinks the issue comes from the front half the cab having some hidden issues we didn't see till now.  By tape measure things were the same side to side and body lines looked good, but the passenger door just didn't quite look right and gaps were a little large.

Sadly I mucked up the skin metal right behind the top hinge trying to force things the way I needed them to go...I'm really bummed about that as it was in perfect  condition, now I'll have a few hours (I hope not days) to fix and will end up with filler.

Don't plan to drive in the rain do you ??

Perfect fit for a ratrod!   I sure hope not! Great to have some experienced help.

Just do not open a car/truck modification shop in town after he teaches you all of his tricks!  ? ?
