Tony WestOZ is that a Challenger/Cuda in the background?

I am not up on these cars but it will be something like that. I am not sure but I think this is one he was working on for someone else. That or he has done an awfull lot of work on his Cuda that was in the shed when I was around there sometime ago.

Anyone ever just paint the grill and hood a different colour?? I'd love to see it.. Painting today but was considering all black grill/hood and the rest like a hemi orange on my 50 ph

Great collections: I vote for the grey, but with the bottom of the cab dark grey. The highlighting of the indentations on the bed and tail gate are very nice. IMHO

This is also a nice collection of wheels, tires, etc. If two toned, I prefer just the cab top from the waist up, with a pinstrip on the rounded divider moulding.

I also like using a model. Where does one get that model?

The silver grey is slick. I think it would look even better with the top/top black. Look at his grill. Someone knew what he was doing. That is NICE!!!! He has 52 rear fenders but has window wings in the doors. Did he put in different doors or did some come that way.

The first two are high side boxes, last one is an aftermarket or low side box and Dakota grille, and yes, the deluxe and custom versions came with the vented doors

I just came up with another grill I'm going to paint bed color (Black) and use a cast medallion (Nickle plate) where my current grill is body color (Turf Green) and the medalion is stamped steel & Black.

I think the contrasting colors will really pop.

No pics, new grill needs lots of work first.

i am also trying to come up with a color scheme for my truck. In preparation for paint i have been driving myself loopy with ideas. i have decided to stay with the lines that was on the truck when i got it (1981)

I know a guy on here that his two toned...light rust and dark rust..but I do not think that is what you have in mind.... :)

I have always been partial to light top in country cream and the lower in a dark blue...look to the 76 Lincoln charts for this combination..it was the Bill Blass edition of the designer series line up of Lincolns...I painted my 41 Dodge truck with these color and got raves everywhere it went...I also use the Givenchy color combo on another vehicle....

I settled upon my colors and cut lines after a number of pencil crayon renditions of a line drawing of the vehicle...you may try to find a drawing and proceed from there...it will hit you when you get it on paper I assure you

Brown isn't my favorite color, but I do like the way it looks with the beige in the old Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) color combo on my truck. With the two-tone done this way, it surely makes the truck look a lot longer and lower than a solid scheme.

Originally a dark green truck, I'm still on the fence whether to someday return to the original color or stick with this scheme. I've also thought about how the Dodge green would look with this beige...

I've seen a few two tones that appear to be derivatives of the Spring Special on the bigger trucks...most follow the break lines around the hood over the doors like these or those...some follow the beltline of the cab like this'n or that'n...one of the looks I've fancied is the white or argent grille bars + front bumper on the 51-53 nose on a darker color like a royal blue or flame red, with possibly a white upper cab above the beltline (cuz it's so hot here in TX)

Here is a picture of the new DC. Pete my son is doing.  The colors he saw on a Harley and went with them.  I was upset he changed the color from the dark blue I did the truck in 1980.  But after seeing it I absolutely love it.

I took the picture of the truck when I pulled it out of my shop to put in my garage for winter storage, its pretty dusty in the pic and does not really pop the colors the way it really looks.

I am hoping to bring this truck with my semi to MN next summer.

It looks like the cab is that "burnt orange"? Is the inside color "split" also?

I am going to have to "color" it out like Tim suggested. Maybe Jeff B. Could paint the lower half of his so I can see what it looks like with a cream/ tan top :^)

I looked at the interior, he made the seat a fake leather looking light tan color.  The wall and roof a dark color of a materal.

experiment with some of that 'plastic-film' , find what you like and pull off the film. What I am referring to is used a great deal to turn mag rims into flat black rims and other uses.  It adheres very good but pulls off as a film.

Paul is talking about Plasti-dip.....the spray on, not the small jar for tool handles.

The spray on isn't legal to sell to California.
