I am an electrician at the Canadian Light Source Inc. at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

It is a synchrotron, (sounds fancy), it is basically a large microscope used for research.

Have seen other posts talking about a particle laser beam, that's what we have.

I included a link to our website.

Nothing glamourous here. I'm a 3rd generation dairy farmer.

A noble profession. I would have been the 4th generation if I would have continued farming my family's dairy farm. But by the time I was out of high school I had enough of milking cows and went off to tech school to become a diesel mechanic, which landed me the job with my current employer, close to 24 years ago, as a shop mechanic. My cousin is on that farm now so it's still in the family.

i think i probably got you beat.

It's good to see the next generation keeping the hobby going. I'm probably in the middle of this group at 43. This is quite a diverse group, in many ways.

Part of my college education was the study of dairy science from farm level all the way through processing and bottling. Good to know that there is someone here besides myself who (as part of AI service) has done a rectal palpation on dairy cows.

Let's see, my job huh?

I got my Airframe and Powerplant certificate in '94, and an Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Degree in '98, worked maintenance for Anheuser-Busch Flight Operations in St Louis for a few years, went to a fueling job at the airport in Columbia MO for a year. Then I met a girl and moved to MA, and did fuel quality control, until my second child was born. Then I stopped working and took the tests so that I can be a high school math teacher.

But right now I am a stay-at-home dad. Which means I do full-time childcare, and part-time everything else. Like house restoration, car upkeep, cabinetry, personal chef, baker, brewer, and manifold maker.:)

Sales, I call on the US Airport System, NFL and MLB stadiums helping them achieve their sustainability and LEED certification goals. Lots of travel so it gives me a great chance to look for stuff and attend car shows across the country. So far all of the National POC meets have been part of my work travels. Next stop Portland See you soon!

Your profile says Gilroy and you are in school in Stockton? Thats quite a commute!

While my degree is in mechanical engineering, that profession actually required real work so I've spent my years playing with computers.
