  1. Love the long roofs but mine is a little newer. I was hunting for a vintage family hauler and ended up with a 64 belvedere 6pass
  2. This fitting is still used for water heater pilot lights. My local hardware store stocks them
  3. Looks like one of the screws for the gauge face
  4. I've been to brake and equipment many times- you'll be happy with your MC
  5. Yours is in the correct spot. The pass side hatch was used for bigger trucks and they just made all the cabs the same.
  6. I've seen that exact setup with the plug too for the B series trucks.
  7. I'm in MN. My only precautions are make sure the gas tank is full add some stabilizer (which probably isn't that necessary because I buy the no ethanol fuel) and unhook the battery. Been doing that over 20y and never a problem.
  8. OEM for trucks is no relay.
  9. What does it look like? Personally I'd clean it off and use the permatex stuff I've always used. But I've also always reused the old bolts....
  10. I'm in the twin cities let me know next time you're down we can chat Mopars
  11. I am running the signal stat 900 in my 46 and using the cowl lights as the front signals. Haven't noticed any issues with other drivers not seeing them. There were no factory available ones so to be truly vintage you'd have to drill a hole and add lights. I've seen them on the headlights, down in the fender valley (my 47 has lights there I'll be reusing) or even sticking sideways out of the grill. Personally I'd either use the cowl lights or add something on the front bumper/frame horns.
  12. I too have one I bought off eBay. Makes me wonder if one of us has your old one.....
  13. When I needed tailgate chain holders for my 47 project I hit the junkyard with a freshly sharpened chisel and my favorite medium BFH.
  14. Sunday of back to the 50s. Dad's 51 and my 64. Putting the fuel line into the 47. This and the following work after figuring out the gas tank got garden hosed by kids were the major work I got done. And a boring but very exciting one for me personally after jumping through all the states hoops I got titles for my project trucks.
  15. Sorry to hear that. Take care and recover your truck and us will be here when you're ready
  16. Thanks you should have seen it before the restoration started. It was very rough. I remember helping tow it as a kid and one of my jobs was to secure the doors to each other because they wouldn't latch anymore from rust making the latches misaligned
  17. You should have 2 more ball studs on the floor. The pedal pops onto the two lower ones and hinges off those to push the throttle linkage. Water pump should be the same either way now. The new ones have a little bit extra connections to make them very universal. For tune up stuff like the points you need to go by the numbers on the dist.
  18. Guess that means it's been too long since I posted Dad's.
  19. It's been a long time but way back we used to maintain a list of city state and phone and available tools that you could request before a trip
  20. I would guess 0. I don't believe any were standard on the 39-47 beds
  21. Yes 39s and 40s have headlights down in the valley of the fender closer to the grill. 39s are bulb and reflector and 40 sealed beam with a parking light on top. They also moved the dodge badge from the grill back to the hood side. 39-40 each have unique grill trims too. I'll stop there .....
  22. From the hood ornaments it's a 41-47.
  23. The shop manual should have the specs. You should get 4.5lbs at the carb. There is also a volume check 15 strokes of the pump should net you 5-6ounces of fuel.
  24. You've posted so your in. Suggest starting a new post for a build thread. Glad to see another job rated owner
