  1. Sounds like your block was restamped back in the day in a state where the registration was by engine #
  2. You need something along the lines of a gear vendor overdrive unit. I believe volvo also has some stand alone od units. Otherwise nothing just bolts in that I'm aware of
  3. Oh I'm sure if they said it's good it is. Just that MN is not usually the home for donor metal!
  4. Next time I'm at french lake I'll have to watch for a 1/2 missing 50 plymouth! Surprising something out of MN is solid enough for ya
  5. Stuck the back and front windows in to try and make it a little more weather proof. The gasket for the back window didn't lay flat in the corners but otherwise looks good. Windshield is an old rusty frame with bad glass but it fills the hole.
  6. I believe DCM has those for the 39-47 trucks. Not sure if they interchange though
  7. You're just going to have to come visit again
  8. Been a while but I now have the new cab completely stripped. I did find there is a "fender tag" like the old mopars only it was under the carpet in the cab. The new cab was an automatic so there will need to be a floor mod. Also haven't figured out if the firewall is the same between the 2 as the donor was a non AC truck. I also drove the truck for the first time in 3 years. Started up as if parked yesterday. Ran a little rough when trying to move though. Not sure if it's crappy from sitting or that it's really low on fuel. Either way it's now in the garage for winter so it shouldn't get any worse.
  9. Obviously different trucks and trim but all my 41-47 trucks have made in usa stamped right into the stainless for the grill. Also the reproduction trim doesn't have that I'm guessing because it's not actually made in USA
  10. Correct they like to have the clips rust and then fall off and get lost.
  11. Wow you should grab the cowl trim off that beast!
  12. I just saw a post on the 39-47 group where someone made a stamp to reproduce their own. They filed a piece of steel until it was a good fit in the underside of the dimple and then started pounding.
  13. Funny he mentioned roadkill. I watch it with the kids and it really increases their interest in the hobby. Does get funny when they tell me to roadkill something
  14. Got in a little time on the project today. Put the gas tank in twice! The first time there was a bed bolt that was sticking down a little too far so I had to cut that off at the nut.
  15. Good guys I've gotten many parts from them over the years
  16. There is an attachment to the back of the steering wheel that contacts the turn signal unit when the wheel is turned 90 degrees
  17. If I'm remembering correctly you need 12 point deep sockets
  18. 46 and 64 went to storage Friday. 48 coupe never came home from storage last year! I did drive it around one weekend though so it wasn't completely ignored
  19. I thought it was the 57 and later ones that changed?
  20. That's quite the list of which I personally do 1% of. I put fuel stabilizer in and unhook the batteries. Where I store you aren't allowed to remove the battery. Can't say I've noticed reduced battery life. Commercial buildings that I've never seen issues with mice.
  21. Search for ford overdrive parts. You should be able to find reproduction cables and relays.
  22. Not sure but it might look good on my neighbors 29 dodge rod
  23. As far as I know W series and earlier use rear sump. My 1/2 ton WCs use them for sure
  24. Not sure what car you'd be putting it in but likely not driveshaft mods needed
  25. I believe all the column shifted 3 spds are the same length with the exception of your short wheel base cars. Why they shortened the trans vs the driveshaft IDK.... Dad and I even swapped an OD into a 51 dodge in place of the gyromatic and that didn't require driveshaft mods either
