  1. Well I haven't even tested the first meter but couldn't pass up another for cheap. This one has a 6v setting even!
  2. Here is an art print I saw at hobby lobby a while back. Probably would have purchased if the grill didn't morph into a ford with even the additional headlights
  3. Around here pits aren't code ...
  4. Since I mentioned the issues above I should confess what they were so you avoid them. The wires on one side of my amp gauge came loose and eventually shorted enough to break the stud when I tried to tighten. The other issue was the highbeam switch wiring clip got slightly bent. The coating wore through and then I'd pop a fuse everytime I put the clutch in with the lights on. Of course both of these issues waited to present themselves until I was on a trip about 1000miles from home.
  5. That was just for the rewire. Car has been back on the road since 2008. Only had a few rewiring issues back then as anyone who went to the POC meet in detroit could testify to.
  6. This is my original dash wiring. Shows how some of it was clipped in.
  7. To answer your original question I would think if you could find an aftermarket heater that was cable operated you could swap in a 6v fan and be good. Not sure if such a beast exists though
  8. You should post a picture of what you have when you can. That doesn't sound at all like a factory setup. Unless you have dual heaters which does have 2 cores but they aren't really separate for heat and defrost. Do you have these?
  9. Oh another thought depending on what you're car originally had you might want to upgrade to the fresh air fancy heater if you want effective defrost
  10. Sounds like you have the 2 connections on the engine so you will be pretty set under the hood. Just need a second length of hose to connect to the heater core and maybe a shut off valve if you don't have that already.
  11. Not to mention all the cutting grinding drilling air compressor running etc
  12. I can probably hook you up with a factory setup if you can wanna go that route. No clue about using that later one on 6v
  13. I believe your plan will work for everything but the glove box lock. Those take a smaller key. You might be able to get fancy and key a locking gas cap to match your glove box lock as my glove box key says gas on it....
  14. Or take the front wheels off the car and put the drums on the ground or on wheel dollies.
  15. I read that out loud to my redhead wife. Not sure she found it quite as funny as I did.... I think I'll still make it to 2021 though
  16. I believe at least in the early 50s plymouth had both. I know when I was a kid dad and I would part out p23s and the one style of clutch went right in the scrap
  17. I think it's a 39 with sealed beam conversions
  18. I'd also want to do a few for quality check. If something happened to be wrong with any what are they going to say if it's a year later
  19. Yes he helped me set the seat in. He's the one that named it turkey truck.
  20. Do you ever use the speed wrenches? I have a few of them that I don't think I've ever used
  21. It's been a long time but I feel like my coupe has a separate small piece between the headliner and the panel
  22. Haha I already bought the buckets too! I'm still liking these better. Will have to fab up a mount for the shoulder belts and seat mounts
  23. Might have changed my mind on seats. I was originally going to go buckets with integrated belts but this bench fits sooooo good.
  24. You guys are going to suck up all the parts before I get out there again!
  25. Yes Dad and I did that with my 48. I am running my original spider gears with the rest of the 3.73. just check it before you install the rear end... Unlike me
