  1. Might have changed my mind on seats. I was originally going to go buckets with integrated belts but this bench fits sooooo good.
  2. You guys are going to suck up all the parts before I get out there again!
  3. Yes Dad and I did that with my 48. I am running my original spider gears with the rest of the 3.73. just check it before you install the rear end... Unlike me
  4. I have a 3.73 with overdrive in my 48 coupe. Works fine for me but I only have 15" tires. If your tires are taller the 3.73 might be a little much.
  5. I can see how you'd call it a stud as it's similar to a wheel stud. I believe the engines with bigger holes used standard nuts and bolts for flywheel installation. I believe the great don c used shoulder bolts in his swap
  6. That is ugly! And attempt to go door to door for video or a witness? Around here they barely investigate hit and runs so you'd have to cover it yourself. Luckily it looks like the fender will be fixable- I know they aren't easily replaced.
  7. Someone sent me this way back. Not sure anymore who drew it(I see there is a sig but I can't make it out on my phone) and if it was drawn for me or just forwarded.
  8. Keep an eye on that one- great looking truck with what appears to be the factory flatbed
  9. Maybe that's why they got rid of the ribs in the center of the dash? Or maybe the W series guys have better memories
  10. Yup looks like 39-47
  11. Not sure what's left of it now but a couple summers ago french lake had a great looking 40 4 door
  12. Welcome to the forum and MN!
  13. Why a 42 wc vs a 41 or 46-47?
  14. 39-40 truck have the same grill. 40 has additional stainless -3 bars on each side horizontally at the top of the grill. If stock 39 has bulb and reflector headlights and 40 has sealed beam with little parking lights on the top.
  15. Did a power wagon really come with a 3spd??
  16. No such thing as a 49 plymouth truck unless someone customized a sedan. Engine serial # is a 42 plymouth car and should be a 218 and have a reg 4 hole crank pattern. This is a lot of mismatched parts
  17. I always hear that too however 1 gauge is original equipment spec and is working on my car and truck. This does seem to be a bigger is better situation though
  18. Did the plymouth engine come with the hydrive? If so you're good. If not you still might have issues. You also need to supply engine oil to the hydrive
  19. The biggest things you guys will possibly find is crankshaft flange not having enough holes for the fluid drive and flywheel spacing going from 218 to 230
  20. Keep in mind the pilot house is a very different truck than a W series
  21. Most of my stuff is in winter storage so likely it won't get a trial run until April
  22. Must say you guys inspired me to make a purchase when this came up on facebook marketplace. Guy said it worked last time he used it but that was many years ago. Then I got it home and realized it had something broken sounding rattling around inside. Bummed out I put it aside for a week. Today I took it apart and the rattle was easily fixed. It was just a nut that had come off inside!
  23. I believe the 48-53 are the same. However watch the brackets as they changed for 3/4 ton. You can get a reproduction from DCM also.
  24. As the kids seem to have an automotive interest towards off roading I'd have to pick a willy's wagon(it's a Mopar by corporate buyout) or a plymouth trailduster or dodge ram charger. Love to have a flat fender power wagon too but not much good to the 5 of us.
  25. I think the closest you'll get is the company that sells all the adapter pieces you need to modify an s10 frame to work. Unfortunately I can't remember the company name.
