  1. None. Use steel or copper nickel lines
  2. There is a guy locally who also used to occasionally post on the forum with a small block ford in his p15. So ya it'll work
  3. Usually a good auto parts store will have a bin of those for oil pan drain plugs. I'd go match up 2 new ones and not worry about the paper insert version
  4. Oscillating tool. My suggestion if you go to purchase just make sure it has quick release blades. The ones with the allen set screw are a pain
  5. Remove the 4 bolts that go horizontally between bell housing and frame mounts. It will lift right out.
  6. Shouldn't be a problem. Start in 2 and shift to 3 and 4 with ease. Come to a stop before going down to 2
  7. I thought pie day was March 14
  8. If he intends to add separate bulbs front and back then it should be easy. If he wants the original rears to be stop and turn that gets harder.
  9. I think the car plates and truck plates had diff colors. I noticed the same in 46
  10. You should be able to find or order in fuel hose that size. Keep in mind it needs to be fuel rated. Also last time I bought it they priced it by the inch but you had to buy a foot!
  11. They got rid of that goofy setup by 51 luckily
  12. Your concord has the shorty transmission I think you'll be good if you pull the hood. Of course if this is a full resto pull the front clip and it'll be even easier
  13. Correct 41 only. 39-40 similar ship but it doesn't come to a point because it connects with the trim for the grill
  14. That is the proper truck underside. The hook at the rear with a horizontal screw that pushes back against the hook when installed. The car ones that are similar just have 2 vertical screws
  15. Those look right but the only way to know for sure is to see the bottom. Some of the car ones look quite similar but don't attach the same
  16. I have one that was drilled and tapped for a small screw maybe 4-40 size. It's intact but I've never had it on a truck
  17. Ya with the wheel off it looks worse than it did. I don't think there is enough length to entertain trying to shorten so I've got to try and fix it. Going to try and go from the good threads backwards to the top
  18. Kind of a combo idea here. Used a muffler clamp around the column as a sacrificial item. Hit it with the air hammer. That vibrated loose a small piece of the plastic exposing the backside of the metal core if the wheel. Hit that with a pinch while son pulled and it popped off. No further damage to column and only slight damage to an already pretty jacked wheel. Now onto try and fix some pretty bad threads.
  19. Ya I've tried hitting it and pulling on it by hand. I honestly didn't think it would get this tight on there since I never cranked a nut on it. You are right about not using the puller without a nut. Way back I actually split the shaft of a car column by not having the nut on! I do realize the tube isn't that thick but it might come down to which piece becomes sacrificial. These truck boxes in decent shape are hard to find so I can't wreck that if I can help it
  20. Pulled the steering gear a few days ago. Can't get the wheel off though! The truck never had a wheel when I got it so I stuck one on temporarily. Never put a nut on it. Now I go to pull it and the threads are buggered and that wheel is stuck tight! The steering gear doesn't have too much free play so I gotta get the wheel off without further damage. What about putting the column in the vice and wrapping a ratchet strap around it?
  21. I'm not aware of a fresh air option in the 39-47s. I believe that came in with the pilot house trucks. The ivory knobs look like 46-48 plymouth car knobs.
  22. Been a few stories of new ones seizing up. I think I'd go new but check it carefully. I wonder if you could rig something to spin it a bit with a cordless drill ?
  23. I've never seen a factory setup for these trucks. I imagine there would be a 2 knob control panel that mounts to the underside of the dash. I've seen those in various mopars but never matching defrost or fan knobs to the truck knobs.
  24. Just like most things on the net or in life in general you don't hear about the normal ones. I personally pulled drums off one that was in the junkyard for decades. We gutted the brakes put the drums back on and tow dolly towed it home.
  25. That is the strangest thing ever. He should have no trouble removing with either a drill or a punch if there isn't enough to pull out normally
