  1. That's why I'm trying to make something. I believe last time I put it in with a 2x6 and a ratchet strap but I'd like to make something a little more stable.
  2. What transmission is in this car? I'm wondering if someone added overdrive with an engagement on the shifter. If that's the case those shouldn't prevent it from running
  3. On my to do list for summer is to seal up my overdrive in my P15. It leaks pretty bad after a drive. From what I saw last time I drove it's coming from up front some where. The drips form on the raised area where the drain is and are coming from in front of that (not from the side like the drain is lose or something). So to prep looking for ideas on making something to safely lift it in and out with a floor jack.
  4. Awesome. I was about to buy from a different ford supplier but this is even cheaper!
  5. We used to have a guy who bought a 46-48 4dr that had that treatment. It wasn't turned into a wagon but had wood doors etc. I've also seen a 50 plymouth steel wagon that was converted to look like a woody.
  6. Got the light wired in. All test lights went perfect. Final installed it and it worked for like a minute. Drove a couple miles to the gas station and barely saw it. After gas it worked the whole way home. It seems as if I need a more reliable ground.
  7. Looks like they have a 42 dash insert with that emblem
  8. I'm going with the LED popsicle stick piece that someone suggested way back. Bought 2 of them and then didn't have my car home for 2020. Looks like now I just have to decide if I want it tied to headlights or on all the time.
  9. It's not the easiest but you can uncrimp that armored cable from the back of the ignition and replace that wire.
  10. Different take on this topic this time. I've got the light itself handled. What's the general idea for powering. Wire down the center of the hood trim and then where? Inside to connect to the dash wiring? Around and back to the front for headlights or down to the dimmer? Also will I need to run 2 or will the hood be grounded sufficiently?
  11. Friday and Saturday is mostly show. There are some booths and buildings with vendors throughout the grounds. There is a swap meet Sunday am but it's mostly just guys cleaning house
  12. For a stock or close to stock truck I'd say complete overkill. And what tough terrain do you plan to encounter?
  13. I have a homemade one in my car. Put a brass fitting into the drill press and held a file to it.
  14. I believe it's considered the 2nd largest in the country. It happens every June(except last year of course) so you could plan for 2022!
  15. Sorry about have stated that. It's such a big show everyone around here knows it. Typically about 11k cars. This year who knows. St Paul MN MN state fair grounds June 18-20.
  16. Can't believe it's already a week away! Who's going to be there?
  17. I believe these are being make by Michael W
  18. Putting them on opposite sides shouldn't cause a leak. But while you have it apart to resolve the leak you might as well swap them side to side
  19. That was my thought too. I'd suggest either cleaning that plug really good or replacing and make sure it's tight. See if that fixes it.
  20. Are you talking goo on the head at the base of the plug or at the tip of the plug on the combustion side?
  21. As much as I think it's overdone in many areas I'd think you're probably in need of a good lawyer. If you agreed with them on 20k they shouldn't be paying 3. I'd hope a good threatening letter from a law office would change their path....
  22. Steering shaft is still apart. Got distracted by the tailgate. Welded up some cracks, found and custom fit bushings for the hinge, and then installed it. I still need to find shorter bolts or cutoff all the long ones that hold the latch plates on. Also scored a matching wheel for a spare at mopars in the park swap meet.
  23. Ran into a guy at a car show a few weeks ago that ran into the same thing when be got to Florida. He had reserved a car but there weren't any when he got there. He got a ride to the nearest Chrysler dealer and bought a decent used car. Drove it for a week and then drove it home
  24. The really early ones were black block silver head but I think that ended in 37
  25. Yes my 64 belvedere poly 318 has a 94 Dakota V8 starter.
