  1. That leads me to a thought. Clearly the engineering group was using the letter and # combinations for models. T,V,W for 39-47 and then starting over with B in 48. So job rated and pilot house is probably stuff dreamed up by the marketing folks so no wonder there is overlap
  2. The job rated series is 39-47 but the tricky part is the term continued to be used afterwards
  3. Look straight up from the bottom of the chrome switch panel to see the screw Plymouthy described.
  4. Yes that's your voltage regulator with 3 connections. Plymouth went elec wipers in 51
  5. I believe in the 50s they switched to a special headbolt that was threaded for a smaller bolt to hold the positive cable.
  6. Way back I found an article about someone adaptive full size ram brakes to their Dakota. Might get more options or at least the bigger full size brakes and then the 5 on 4.5 pattern if someone has a newer Dakota.

  8. I don't have a pic but I believe for at least #1 and 2 style pictured the clips are part of the hubcap. Which makes sense that those wheels don't have holes drilled for clips
  9. Nice like the artillery wheels. I'd say a truck that nice is worthy of a new bumper:) I do have a factory rear on my 46 but like I said they arent easily found. I wish I had video of the junkyard when I got mine. The yard owner had to cut it off and we watched him come bouncing down the dirt paths with the bumper laying on the roof of his beater yard car.
  10. Way back on the forum someone adapted more modern drums and backing plates if I remember correctly first gen mustang Edit: likely backing plates and hardware with original drums to retain axle mount and lug holes

  12. DCM has reproductions. Finding a used one won't be easy.
  13. When I crashed my p15 the frame horns looked worse than that. Frame shop got them straightened right back for a couple hundred
  14. That was Sunny's auto formerly of Delano MN. The one in my coupe came out of a different yard in eau Claire WI but also was removed from a p23 sitting on a barrel.

  16. The problem with those is they are geared towards an automatic with a nice flat bottom. The 3 speed either with or without overdrive is anything but flat

    About 12 years ago maaco quoted me $4500 to paint my p15 and that was with me stripping all the chrome lights etc off beforehand
  18. Yes the pin the shaft pivots on. Some of the newer rebuild kits have a longer pin with clips. Basically anything you can make that doesn't rely just on staking the pump body will be better. I've never seen the arm itself fall apart.
  19. If it's not too late replace that pivot pin with either a shaft with c or e clips or a bolt and nut. The staked ones are prone to failure and then you're stranded
  20. Overdrive is already in the car. Been running it for years. Just tired of jacking the car up every month or so to refill the trans and don't want to ruin it if I get too low. Not to mention the constant oil spots all over. Yes I should still have the guide bolts from last time and I will pull the floor even though it's a pain.
  21. Fluid drive is just the coupling. You can have a standard 3spd an overdrive or a semi automatic behind it.
  22. That's why I'm trying to make something. I believe last time I put it in with a 2x6 and a ratchet strap but I'd like to make something a little more stable.
  23. What transmission is in this car? I'm wondering if someone added overdrive with an engagement on the shifter. If that's the case those shouldn't prevent it from running
  24. On my to do list for summer is to seal up my overdrive in my P15. It leaks pretty bad after a drive. From what I saw last time I drove it's coming from up front some where. The drips form on the raised area where the drain is and are coming from in front of that (not from the side like the drain is lose or something). So to prep looking for ideas on making something to safely lift it in and out with a floor jack.
  25. Awesome. I was about to buy from a different ford supplier but this is even cheaper!
