  1. Finally got my engine back from the machinists. Looking forward to putting it together with the guidance of you guys on the forum ( also using the search function?) Stay tuned for the barrage of questions.
  2. I got a late start. I’m going to work on this beer first.. then we’ll see what happens.
  3. I believe it’s a 1959 Chrysler Imperial.
  4. Actually the 68’s look pretty cool and roomy
  5. Lots of room...just a thought
  6. You could ask Charles Furman. This is his 1949 Dodge Cantrell
  7. https://goo.gl/images/ZgR3Lj That place looks amazing.
  8. Any of the mall you can see.. from Washington memorial to Lincoln memorial. As much of the Smithsonian buildings you have time for. There is a great museum in the Library of Congress. The holocost museum. Mount Vernon the blue ridge parkway, Shenandoah valley a must. Stop and walk a mile of the Appalachian Trail. Manassas/ Bull Run Battlefield Monticello Have fun!
  9. What is the cut off year for the stud/ bolt water pump?
  10. More interior pictures please. It’s a beautiful truck. Don’t be shy.
  11. Sorry. I couldn’t get the first photo to load
  12. Rich Thank you for dropping that knowledge. I have yet to use the new Gates pump, it’s for a soon to be rebuilt engine. I went out to the shed tonight and took some measurements and your right. 1st photo is of original bolts and bolt that comes with pump 2nd photo is of origianl pump and bolt 3rd is of new pump and bolt You will notice that even the new bolt provided is not long enough. For engines that have studs ( I don’t know what year it changes from studs to bolts) you will have to pull that stud and replace with a bolt.
  13. I’m thinking of doing the same thing. Though my trunk isn’t as nice as yours ( it was free). I’d like to figure out a way to “treat” it to keep it from deteriorating in the weather.
  14. No point being made. This is the Gates pump from rock auto that you mentioned. It matches the original pump. I have no input as to its quality or where it is made.
  15. This might or might not help.
  16. Mark I like the bar with the Dodge script under the clear coat. The bar reminds me of a piece of old bowling alley lane. Very cool.
  17. Don’t forget Dick Trickle! ?
  18. No. Old school. You have to call. Nice guy. Very knowledgeable. 254-893-2610
  19. Terrill Machine has everything you need and is reasonably priced and ships the next day. Egge also has the parts ( make sure they are in stock... they source some of they’re parts from Kanter). I had to wait several weeks for my order. vintage power wagon is overpriced.
  20. Wise words. Sounds like a father son conversation that I’d rather not have.
  21. Here is a couple truck adds
  22. I bought these parts from Egge but if I was to do it again, I would use Terrill Machine. He’s the cheapest and mails it the next day and I believe that much of what he sells is NOS. VPW is overpriced.
  23. You have to respect a man who rolls in wearing his cover-alls and drinks the champagne of beers (old school long neck) . Mr. Bosker is a scholar and a gentleman.... and the owner of a beautiful truck
  24. It was great to see DollyDodge at the bbq. It was inspiring to see the meticulous effort used in preserving such a beautiful old truck (and just a couple more payments befor it’s his). I hope he will make the effort to make the trip again. If not, maybe a trip to Bishop and a night at the hotel Winnedumah in Independence.
