  1. I'd tell you but you would only end up hurting yourself slapping your forehead.....don't want to be responsible for that....☺️
  2. my dimmer on one build here is a bi-stable flip flop triggering a relay....ignition off....always defaults to low beam on power up....the dimmer on this model is so uncomfortable of a position stock it was not what I call a safety feature but more of a hinderance.
  3. many front suspension parts are NOT cut threads but similar to aircraft industry should be rolled threads as they do not weaken the metal with fractures as machine cutting does....hard to guess at the failed unit without a cause analysis.
  4. If I were to consider the multiport MTC carbs I think I would hold out for a set of inline 6 carbs as found on say the Honda CBX1000 that was an exciting bike to crack the throttle on at 60MPH bike manifold to the engine will always be flow issue due to the choked down ports at the block. Have you tweaked the needles for this portion of the fuel delivery...you maybe be a bit fat here....
  5. well my buddy always says that in retirement you pulled off the first step.....going home with benefits....the second part is outliving the bastards. My father retired with 30 years service and received benefit for the next 33...very much the success story...wishing you and well, all of our members the same success.
  6. while at the swap meet I saw the dimmer switches offered for sale....monkey metal case and the difference between the big three being the connector used...they were all just simply dimpled-in place contact plates that looked like they could blow out from the bottom very easily. The one shown above is much heavier made, and was just not assembled as it should have been...little rework here and you got a better unit that is one that could be service down the road maybe.
  7. congratulations....nothing like mailbox money.....
  8. I can just see deer in the headlight stare of someone here packing a stuffing tube on a car firewall....
  9. go back to your first reply and my first response.....it's been done....!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Walter would have gone tits up in the tools business......as mopars have a big advantage over Ford and GM....they simply keep running....
  11. to say one has been specifically designed with the the tie rods and mounts as a bolt on I will concede that it does not exist....but as that will not ever be done to my thinking due to the non popular model you drive you DO have a basic starting point....the rack itself. There are some very unique setups out there in the auto world with R&P and Ackerman angles that are extreme in a manner....but one would have to going constantly in a high speed circles to see the negatives effects.
  12. why you continue to believe that trash after the number of times you were told here that R&P does exist for heavy vehicles.....Curb weight: 4,600 lbs. Gross vehicle weight: 8,550 lbs. Max cargo capacity: 247 cu.ft. Payload: 3,950 lbs. Towing Capacity: 5,000 lbs. simple little Dodge product also....I would trust this engineering concept from the factory way better than anything you could dream up.....
  13. did not Disney teach you folks anything....its all flying carpet in them days......
  14. vw used a ton of these cheese head screws on their engine cowling.....I think this was my introduction to them by specific name....
  15. so you folks are insured to be out and about in this state of build? I get builders insurance but does not cover street operation....covers all event and such while undergoing work in the shop but not on the street...as you advance in your repair so can you up the coverage and stay abreast of the investment of time and money.
  16. type in XX (size) speed nut, push on.....cut the chase and get the right thing from the get go.....but...that may be just too easy....?
  17. I will be afoot....usually to the tune of about 6 straight hours and I do not do the car corral...with the last couple shows...some of the unique places like the Rooster was not set up....usually the better place to meet up with folks and have a coffee.....
  18. will do Friday myself, I normally do this single day.....before the Saturday crowd....its a swap meet.....you walk, you look...hope to find...spend your money....
  19. if the engine needed optimum flow I would agree......as long as the fuel stays atomized.....job done.!
  20. I see the police are on scene....do you think they found out who was responsible for all the snow which caused the city to loose tons of money in manpower, equipment and chemicals to eradicate.......trust me, the south is still way ahead in that war....
  21. yeah...that is why Chrysler failed to sell these engine for the decades they did....you sliding scale is askew
  22. while each suggestion you listed has merit....it seems to be lacking direction and assigned priorities......the build needs to flow, not bump heads....
  23. while there is some manual intervention by the installer with Rustyhope kit.....at least the kit is effective, cost is reasonable and the support is top notch....the minor work involved is easily done at home or if you do carry it out...very minimal.....
  24. why buy a wheel you must reinvent....?
  25. well made manifold utilizing multi carbs will have a balance tube and as such this condition does not exist....even without the balance tube the condition is not a problem but a more delicate process to balance is all...
