That’s great! Please tell us about your build a little. I believe this is only the 2nd tested flathead that I have seen recorded and reported. Can you show the HP & torque curve?

Good news today,  got my replacement motor for my 46 wc running today,  203 HP 267 torque

Yes, please tell us about it your build.  I've heard of several of these flatheads that were tested for power and torque, but this is only the second one I've heard of that has exceeded 200 HP.  Most people who hopped up their engines and had them tested did not get very close to that.

Love to see the dyno sheet...

That picture explains the dyno results.  I don't even want to guess the dollars invested.

It needs four bolt mains...and a girdle.

Do any of the bigger versions of the flat 6 have 7 mains?

Yes...The 281 thru 413 ci Moly Block engines have seven main bearings.

These seven main engines came in the  biggest Dodge 2-3/4 to 4 ton trucks..

10 bolt or cast spoke wheel trucks.

Those should be the trucks with the extended hood and fenders, about 10" longer if I remember right.

always like pictures of your truck, rob.  that's a beauty.

jerry - i'm guessing the comments as far as the 7 mains or 4 bolt mains is that your 4 main might not stand up to the hp/torque that it will produce without the added components, ie 4-bolt vs the standard 2-bolt mains that were in your engine originally, or the girdle added.  it is a magnificent looking engine and supercharger as it sits right now, however.

I like it a lot. Can't wait to see once you get it in the truck. Have you confirmed if you need to modify the hood or just run without one?

Aren't the truck engines shown 33 or so inches long?  Kinda difficult to shoehorn in to a car chassis.  What are you running for boost when does the waste gate pop?  Thinking that high boost at over 3500 rpm might trigger expensive noises.  Did you modify the bottom end lubrication?  Years back there was a fellow built a similar engine for a pulling tractor.  If I remember he had about 7 pounds of boost at 3000 rpm with a 3200 rev limit.

Looks great!  Hope it performs well for you.

The first 2 pictures of the motor you posted showed it with a finned aluminum head. This latest motor picture in the vehicle looks like a black cast iron head. Was there an issue running the finned head?

Looks cool either way.
