Todd B Posted July 30, 2015 Report Posted July 30, 2015 Congrats Mark & Linda, I am glad to see you found your dream place so fast. I witnessed your patience level when you where trying to sell your house. Great find, Todd Quote
William Davey Posted July 30, 2015 Report Posted July 30, 2015 I think you're missing an opportunity to get another man-toy.... I mean you really NEED a tractor now with a brush hog and a bucket loader and a back-hoe attachment, and few other things. All these "tools" will help you maintain the 10 acre property and improve your fun quotient too! Quote

Sixty inch cut and a front end loader that my wife could also handle. Worked well for snow removal too. Quote
ggdad1951 Posted July 30, 2015 Author Report Posted July 30, 2015 Yes an old IH tractor with the toys is in the works. Quote
ggdad1951 Posted September 8, 2015 Author Report Posted September 8, 2015 Shop kitty Puma, she's been awesome bring in mice and such, sadly this AM she came limping into the shop and was favoring one paw. She didn't even run to the kibble dish looking for food, just wanted to be pet...I checked her over, no obvious broken bones, cuts or blood or anything, a few tufts of fur loose, so I hope she just had a run in with something not TOO bad. Will see tonight when I get home if she ate at all... Dangit I didn't want to get ATTACHED! 1 Quote

TodFitch Posted September 9, 2015 Report Posted September 9, 2015 That kitty looks strangely familiar! Could it be? So ggdad1951 ought to make sure his fire insurance is up to date? Quote
Young Ed Posted September 9, 2015 Report Posted September 9, 2015 I've seen first hand that he has already secured the flamables away from the cat. Quote
Desotodav Posted September 9, 2015 Report Posted September 9, 2015 That kitty looks strangely familiar! Could it be? Could it be that Mark was so worried that your patina paint might show up the red paint on the FEF truck that he sent his beloved fire-cat over to visit your garage PP to level the playing field? 1 Quote
ggdad1951 Posted September 9, 2015 Author Report Posted September 9, 2015 Puma is better today, eating and walking around, last night while I was working on the tractor she hung out but didn't really venture very far outside...few more days and she'll be back to catching mice! BTW, THIS is a lawnmower! 2 Quote

DJ194950 Posted September 11, 2015 Report Posted September 11, 2015 If you somehow inherited PP's cat, I hope you have fire sprinklers-at least over the beer fridges! Quote
pflaming Posted September 12, 2015 Report Posted September 12, 2015 I just got a replacement guard cat for my garage, came from NYC. His credentials include high rise buildings. His name is Phyre Pheelyne, nickname PP! Quote

pflaming Posted September 24, 2015 Report Posted September 24, 2015 (edited) I stood along side the wing of an air machine this summer. The picture of one being hauled gives quite a perspective of their size . Oh, oh! Wrong thread. Reposted "off topic" summer trip. Edited September 25, 2015 by pflaming Quote
Todd B Posted September 25, 2015 Report Posted September 25, 2015 Not sure why its on this thread, but that is some very cool pictures. Quote

ggdad1951 Posted October 30, 2015 Author Report Posted October 30, 2015 So the girl friend was taking Puma, the shop kitty, to the vet yesterday and at the door to vet the carrier broke and Puma ran off into the woods....here's hoping she finds her way back home. :( well it's been 5 weeks....2 weeks ago a guy that lives near the vet office insisted Puma was hanging around his place....so we took some kibble over and a bowl to see if he could get a better view/picture. The food was getting eaten so I dug a game trail camera out of the box (well, dug thru 20 boxes to find) and set it up Monday. Tuesday went and checked the pictures out. Sure enough a grey cat was around. Linda insisted it was Puma, I was a bit less optimistic. Last night going over to check the food and get pictures I saw a cat in the yard. Long story short, one hour later I got her close enough to get a hand on the scruff of her neck, got her in the truck, and then home into the shop. Needless to say the last 20 minutes when I KNEW it was her and could not get her was the toughest time. Patience paid off tho. She's home and happy again, and VERY loving right now. Now she just has to reestablish her territory and she'll be good to go for a while yet. 1 Quote
