This morning I finally was able to clear a hole in the middle of my garage after my recent move. I had to build a couple of new benches and hang several cabinets. I still have work to do but it will happen with time.

Reason I did all that work this morning is so my car would fit. It is now home after a very bumpy trip on a flatbed. I will post the trip details a bit later after I find the answer to the trouble I had. This was the first time ever my car has been on the hook.

I know your pain all too well. Last august my coupe got a 300mile trailer ride. Keep us posted on the fix. Did you make it part way or not at all?

Nice work Don.....I like the short shelf with the anvil. I bet its a good feeling to get the Man-cave up and running.

I just a few minutes ago put the last block in place on the barn addition and have moved a few parts to the new storage platform..looking to free up a bit of shop space with this new addition..get my lazy butt back into production of some sort..

I finally got a chance to dabble with my car. Pulled the distributor and replaced everything. Started the engine and set the timing. Went for  a test drive around the short block and the engine was miss firing under acceleration. Returned home and did a compression check. All 6 between 115 and 120 pounds. Installed a new out of the box set of spark plugs (Autolite #295) first time in a long time. Just returned from a trip around the long (10 mile) block and the engine is running like it did when I first installed it. I think I am good to go for the summer.

Watch out for the skeeters up there in Minnesota - they don't bite you, they take you home for dinner.  Also, I remember coming in from a short walk along the lake, and picking off around 30 tics, about one per minute.

Interesting terminology. I was going to say the same thing, sort of, second from the left.

Don the new garage looks great. I see you have the most important item in there. The beer cooler refrigerator. I don't have one of those the one I have in my garage is another freezer. LOL I like how you have set it up though. Have a great summer with your car. I have a 48 sedan about the same color as yours except I think mine is a little more of a green color that I think is turquoise. I have put new brake lines and new master cylinder with all new brake shoes and all new wheel cylinders can't wait to get it on the road with the 48 coupe.

I'm really getting anxious now. Questions: 1. Send me some ticks? 2. Where do you hang the winch? 3. How close is the yournall?

I am currently not ticked off but I could be at any given moment. I have not hung the wench but I have thought about it. In an emergency the yournall (that would be urinal for those that know how to spell) is the sink at the end of my bench. Hope that answers your questions.

Looks like a stair door to the attic. Got some nice storage space up there. I'm running conduit in the rafters this morning. I put in the sub panel yesterday and ran all the wires in the walls. Dry wall where needed is all cut and ready to hang.  A friend is coming this morning to help.

Your shop is a good study for me just now. Thanks for posting. Narrow benches and aux air tank I like.

boy, there is an OT of it's own.... you seem pretty spoiled to have a sink.

here in the great Northwest we are left to nature

it can get pretty cold in the winter :D

Gets pretty cold here too. I was told by the prior home owner that he never had a problem with the sink freezing. There is a heat duct into the garage so with the overhead door closed I think it will be comfortable working in the garage in the winter.

PP you got ticks in CA already...just look to any political arena and view these blood sucking parasite...

you do not hang a winch..you mount/suspend them..and you can go to jail for hanging a wench...I however still prefer a cheery picker or at worse...chain fall

as a member of the male population..the whole world is your urinal is you so chose to use it...
