Here's another smoking-hot, 2-cycle motorcycle from my collection.  A 1974 Yamaha DT100A Enduro that belonged to a sister-in-law.  Almost like new.  Sat in her garage for years.  Too small for me to ride, it's now sat in my garage for years.  Waiting for the collector who wants it.

I've got my 58 plymouth I'm restoring, a 73 challenger next to be restored. I used to drag race every weekend and still have my Dakota drag truck. Then my dd is a scat pack challenger.

1977 Jeep CJ5, completely stock, except for the custom paint, stereo, and leather seats.  High torque at low rpm with the 256-cubic-inch 6-cylinder engine and 4-speed transmission.  Period-correct, aftermarket, removable Acme fiberglass top and doors.  We use it occasionally in the late summer and fall to explore the old mining areas in western Colorado.  Not intended, equipped, or used for rock crawling.  Pleasurable drives through the high country.

I can't believe I didn't share this one before! Bought back in May 1964 Belvedere 318 with a push button automatic. These are right when I got it. Only changes are I swapped out the hubcaps for plymouth division caps and I got rid of that gas cap!

2005 Honda VT750CA Shadow Aero purchased in Wheat Ridge Colorado.  The liquid-cooled engine with shaft drive is a smooth-riding bike, with plenty of speed for highway cruising.  Especially enjoy the low seat height, and old-school style.  Some Honda riders will spend thousands to make their bike sound like a Harley, and some Harley riders will spend thousands to make their bike ride like a Honda.  Spent less on this bike than a typical repair at an HD (Hundreds o' Dollars) shop.  I like it just fine.

 

Threw in a couple of photos of my old 1985 Honda VT500C Shadow, that I used to ride to the mine on a daily basis in the good weather.  Sold the older bike when I no longer needed a daily commuter after the mine closed.  Now, only ride on occasional rare days, when I take a break from my many projects.  Really should ride more often.

I took a road trip out through your neck of the woods, vikingminer49er, a few years ago with some friends. We spend a week riding around Colorado. Spent 1 night in Loveland, 3 nights in Leadville (loved that place), a couple nights in Durango,  and a rainy night in Denver metro area.

Here we are at the visitor's center at the top of Rocky Mountain National Park. Note the hail on the ground that we had just ridden through to get there.

 

The ride from Leadville down to Durango took us through Ouray and the "Million Dollar Highway". However, it wasn't a nice scenic ride for us on a rainy, windy day. I was just focused on keeping the bike and camper on the road.

Very nice Tiger. Don’t see many of those around here as of course rust got most.  I had two Alpines in the late 60’s and both were already starting to rust.  I have always been fascinated by the Daimler design and of course the hemi V-8.  Great to see the pics.

I started a new job this month with a 1+ hr commute one way, and though the QuadCab can make the journey, the traffic can be tricky.  So after 4 years of my elderly neighbor offering to sell me his 2015 Ram 1500 that he cannot drive anymore, we worked out a deal, as that truck does way better on the highway than the QuadCab in ride quality and fuel economy (26mpg!!)...did I mention the AC seats?  This Laramie Longhorn is about to turn 33k, so it's got a lot of life left in it...the QuadCab, with 233k, gets to wander around on the weekends, as it needs to exercise or its brakes might start sticking again.

I located this rust-free sheet metal specimen in Arizona back in the 90s on the internet. Internet is nothing like it is today for search options for car parts. The seller sent me the hard copy pictures below by standard mail along with pictures of 3 other 67 chargers he had for sale at the salvage yard.  Bought this one for $500 with the intention of parting it out and keeping the sheet metal for spares. It arrived on the top rack of a car hauler the seller arranged for shipping to me that he knew was heading my way and needed to fill a spot. The seller was supposed to make it a roller. The hauler called the evening before arriving to confirm address and informed me I would need rims and tires. I was fortunate I had some and worked at a place with a large forklift to pull the car off the top rack. Once I looked it over, I had to make a decision on moving forward with this one.

Long story so to summarize, I found a few donor cars for the interior, gauges and glass. Picked up a rebuilt motor and trans from a young man I worked with to beef up before installing and then did some sandblasting and painting on this one. Interior used to be gold and white but it only had a drivers seat when it arrived and no interior panels or headliner. The Az sun did them in or they were scavenged along with the gauges so now it is black inside. Traveled between Detroit and here for most of the parts and accumulated a stash of extras parts along the way.

Had some business up the road and ended up shoveling snow for an hour that day 🥶  since there was so much snow piled up already, I filled the bed of The Laramie to export back to TX the next day, much to the amusement of my hostess...it was so cold the next day that most of that snow was still in the truck over 500 miles down the road, long after crossing the Canadian ❄️
