  1. Read and follow all directions or I can almost guarantee you will be back here with a no start issue.
  2. Automotive panel adhesive would be a possible solution. Since our cars are body on frame you are not dealing with the stress like a modern unibody vehicle that the modern adhesives are designed for. I used panel adhesive to replace the floor pans on a car 20 years ago and they are holding strong. I would guess today's adhesive are even better than those of 20 years ago.
  3. Possible problem with a bypass around the electric pump. with out a check valve When you power up the electric pump it will take the path of least resistance and flow right back in to the pickup line.
  4. Needed to retain the proper air/fuel ratio.
  5. valve cover leak would not be out of the question. oil leaks out of the valve cover runs down the oil pan rail to the rear of the engine and drips off the fly wheel cover leaving one to think the leak is coming from the back of the engine. reminds me I need to change the valve cover gaskets as I had a slight before I parked it for the winter.
  6. Body panels are prone to warping when sand blasting. There is heat generated from the friction of the media against the panel, the rapid cooling from the compressed air and the air pressure its self are all factors.
  7. French lake auto in Minnesota ,wildcat auto in Oregon, and desert valley auto in Arizona. I'm sure there are more that others will chime in with
  8. Observations from living in Wyoming during the great eclipse of 2017. Cheyenne was in the 95 percent observation area and it did not get much darker than the sun going behind a cloud. Traffic on the interstate that morning of was crazy. People drove hundreds of miles to get in the totality (100 percent) zone. The population of Wyoming increased 5 fold that day. A 3 hour drive from Denver Colorado, straight up I-25 to get here that morning, turned in to a 8-10 hour drive home. The same was reported by people from Salt Lake City,Utah that experienced it on the western side of the state. So in conclusion if you don't live in, or willing to get in to the totality zone don't waste your time. A time when 98 percent is not good enough.
  9. Head appears to be off. Easy enough to measure bore and stroke. No guessing involved.
  10. Did anyone else notice the license plate numbers? 37001 and 37004
  11. First check if the rubber has been replaced, there are two different rubber moldings. One for chrome trim and one with out. If you have the correct rubber molding the service manual has about the best instructions. Patience and lube are the only thing I can add. If you need the rear also, again the correct molding and it goes on before the glass is installed
  12. Copper oxidizes when exposed to air. Oxidized copper will not take solder. The rosin core(you do plan to use rosin core solder) in solder for electrical wire removes that oxidation, within reason. The old cloth wire in your truck has not blocked that air for the better part of 70 plus years.
  13. Nope SB 340 Numbers matching
  14. Looking forward to your review.
  15. Ken is 100# correct. Electrical split bolt for number 4-8 gauge wire, or p11 fuel pump arm extension
  16. No reason to rush. it's a leap year so you have a extra day.
  17. Dealer ship where my car was purchased new. I've convinced myself the Plymouth on the far right side is my car
