Young Ed Posted July 12, 2013 Report Posted July 12, 2013 I got outta work at noon and spent the afternoon working on my WC. Guess that will have to do. Tomorrow I'm planning on a small car show in the AM for a couple hours and then a bigger one in the afternoon/evening. 2 Quote
Merle Coggins Posted July 12, 2013 Report Posted July 12, 2013 Well, I washed my truck when I got home from work today, does that count? Tomorrow begins my trek to the WPC meet, via my home town of Ladysmith, WI. Merle 2 Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted July 13, 2013 Report Posted July 13, 2013 I cut, drilled and welded a bit to construct a shelf in the trunk of the business coupe and mounted the receiver/amplifier onto it. Then took it out of the car, sandblasted, primed and then painted the unit. When the paint had dried, I mounted the amp permanently and placed aside for final install later. I also made a channel to run the interconnecting wiring through. 2 Quote
Dave72dt Posted July 13, 2013 Report Posted July 13, 2013 I hung the second door on the car today, looked for the bolts I just purchased last week for the trunk hinges that have magically disappearred 2 Quote

Plymouthy Adams Posted July 13, 2013 Report Posted July 13, 2013 tires, round, pizza round...now if they offer tires that come with fresh hot pizzas filling the hole where the rims go..they may sell more tires....I got tires to buy for the coupe in the near future...seriously have no clue to what I want except to say I do not want Goodyear tires... 2 Quote

Don Coatney Posted July 13, 2013 Report Posted July 13, 2013 I did absoutely nothing but spent a day of retirement staying inside enjoying the air conditioning and watched a couple of movies. Does that count? I did wash the dishes. 2 Quote
Mark D Posted July 13, 2013 Report Posted July 13, 2013 Put ten miles on the new tires tonight! Stopped at my local cruise and popped the hood which brought a young (21) fellow over. Struck up a conversation with him and learned he was from Malmo Sweden and was here visiting his grandfather. In broken English he told me about the 57 Chevy he had just bought and started to restore. We then went to see his grandfathers 2013 corvette c6 at the other end of the lot. Pops then tells me that he owns a business selling Swedish motor parts... Good conversation, interesting people, nice cars; it's what it's all about. 2 Quote
1950 Special Deluxe Posted July 13, 2013 Report Posted July 13, 2013 No pictures, but my brother came over to help me work on the linkage for the truck. Now able to shift into 1st and reverse. Drove back and forth (about 10') a couple of times. No brakes, that is the next project. Pioneer Days at our local museum this weekend, our club provides cars on 2 hour shifts and greets the people at they enter museum. My shift is 10 till 12 Sunday morning. Will post pictures (?). 1 Quote
frankieflathead Posted July 13, 2013 Report Posted July 13, 2013 (edited) Drove over to Hemmings Motor News last night for their cruise night in my Dodge. They usually have it on Thursday, but moved it to Friday night this week for N.C.C.A.D. Eighty mile round trip and the place was packed. Probably close to 200 cars. No P15's and mine was the only D24. Edited July 14, 2013 by frankieflathead 2 Quote
