Merle Coggins Posted July 20, 2015 Report Posted July 20, 2015 I saw that one too. I wonder what those trucks were set up for? Pretty short wheel base. It reminds me of the trucks used to transport Mobile Homes. Merle Quote

pflaming Posted September 18, 2015 Report Posted September 18, 2015 (edited) Duels, USA icon on third truck says cross country "tractor" to me. There must be a lot of weight over the axle for traction. Three trucks for sale implies "fleet" Edited September 18, 2015 by pflaming Quote

John-T-53 Posted September 19, 2015 Report Posted September 19, 2015 Facebook sure appears to have lots of vintage truck pics. I'm not on it, though, ... are all these from a dedicated truck page? Great finds, keep 'em coming! Quote
ggdad1951 Posted September 20, 2015 Report Posted September 20, 2015 There is a fb page/group just like this here but we don't have much cross polination Quote
Desotodav Posted September 26, 2015 Report Posted September 26, 2015 (edited) I had a friend send me some old photos this morning which I thought that others here might enjoy. They look to be Australian vehicles... most likely from our Keswick SA Chrysler plant.... Edited September 26, 2015 by Desotodav 2 Quote
Merle Coggins Posted September 26, 2015 Report Posted September 26, 2015 That's an interesting crane rig that's unloading/loading the panel truck. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted September 26, 2015 Report Posted September 26, 2015 (edited) I said the same thing to myself...the ole boys back in the day had it a-going on regardless of advances over the years..I think the idea is great..but I would change the axle set up to a crab crawler..that would allow 360 stationary positioning..check out the sling...I would not have thought inside the panel as a catch point at the rear.. JBNeal Posted September 26, 2015 Report Posted September 26, 2015 (edited) VINTAGEPIC: I was trying out Bronc's to see if their chicken fried steak was any good (it was ok I reckon), and spotted this pic of what may be a Mrs. Baird's B-series delivery truck on the menu Edited Tuesday at 05:09 AM by JBNeal revised picture Quote
Desotodav Posted October 4, 2015 Report Posted October 4, 2015 Another old photo from my friend Janie - appears to be an old Australian Ambulance from around 1954-56.... 2 Quote
Ralph Pearce Posted October 7, 2015 Report Posted October 7, 2015 I never had a wrist rocket but I remember playing with one a friend had, when I was a young lad. Nice little weapon... Merle, I bought one of these in the mid-1970s and on my first aim the tubing let go and hit me in the eye. Dad rushed me to an eye specialist, think it was a partially detached retinae. Bandaged up both eyes and only let me go home (rather than the hospital) on the promise (my dad's) that I'd remain wrapped up for a week or so with very little movement. Seems like we might've had a case there. Quote
Mark D Posted October 8, 2015 Report Posted October 8, 2015 saw this'n on FB: 1950DODGE1tonSNOW.jpg From the looks of the lever ring and barrel length - my guess - more likely a Marlin 1895 45-70. LOTS of gun for that little fella. Quote
