Take a minute to school yourself on resizing photos for posting to discussion lists.

These are suitable for bill boards on the LIE.

I, 2nd this motion, Michael you have been asked this before, re-size the pics for this board.....

There is a tool on image shack that give you several choices. Also you camera probably has a setting, and when you save pics to your computer there are several choices. One of them should work.

First, it looks like your car is coming along well. It sure felt good to me when I was at the stage where nice shiny clean repaired parts were being re-assembled. I imagine it feels good for you too.

Second, Photoshop (pretty big $) allows you to resize images. Also GIMP, a totally free program but a bit quirky, also allows you to resize images. I take pictures at the maximum resolution my camera allows then use one or the other of those two to resize. If I have a big batch of photos to resize, I use Photoshop's "Make web gallery" feature to resize all the photos in a directory/folder in one operation.

Looks really good. That is going to be a beauty. i took the liberty of resizing your photos so I could see them completely. I use Picasa, it is a free download and works good for this. Here they are.......

Nice work- engine and body looks like top quality job - congratulations!

Do not take this me being vise-guy or picking you - just a friendly suggestion:

Consider using a camera stand when taking pics in the garage.

2 out of 4 pictures are blurry due to camera moving while shutter open.

Cheers,

Pekka

I'm jealous as I do not have the patients to do work like this. Sometimes I wish I did but thats ok as I have to many other things going in my life to do work this way!!! Nice restoration!!!!

With a no-limit cash budget, you could have had your car rebuilt by quality restorers.

Most of us don't have this money, time, or equipment, skills that is why those with the means can have someone in the know do all the work, and they write the cheque, and go win trophies at the car show.

Please in no way is this a put down, it is a fact, in my case, if the funds would have been available, much of the work especially body and paint would have been done by pros too........

Photobucket is a good way to size your pictures so you can download them onto the forum. It is free also.

Car looks good, Michael, and you are making good progress. However, I would be a bit concerned with the dry fit for the manifold. I have never seen that on one of these engines. I would ask your rebuilder to put a set of gaskets in there. That was what was done at the factory and I am sure if they could have saved the cost of gaskets, they would have.

Keep us updated on the progress.

the motor builder, wanted to see how the bolts go on, which brings me to a question, what is the correct order of the manifold bolt kit, which i bought from vps, anyone have pics of a manifold all bolted up ?

he will be using gaskets.

All the visible ones in the pic look right with the exception of the one with two nuts. Should only need one.

If I recall there are a bunch of pictures posted here on the correct way to bolt up the manifold. You can most likely find them using the search function. I would look them up for you but I just dont have the time as I am learning all about vps ("virtual private server" I think) and trying to find if they sell a both a virtual manifold bolt kit and a real one. Do you have the link?
