  1. We were 40 and then 42 when we had these two wonderful children. Jennie is a Firing Range instructor (Lance Corporal) in Japan. Chris is stationed in Raleigh North Carolina (Lance Corporal) They are 22 and 20
  2. Set Traps. I caught three in my Garage one Twas the Night before Christmas when my kids were 8 and 10. I bought them to their attention while singing: "They'll go down in history". And they did. No alive mice near my cars - Traps set. My kids today. U.S.M.C.
  3. E-Bay seller KFParts Type in 1948 DeSoto
  4. I took my Radiator out and Flushed it upside down. Lots of wierd chunks of Star Shaped Chunks came out. Flushed the engine without removing Engine Freeze Plugs. Removed Brass Drian plug though. Runs at 160 all the time now. When its 90 - 95 Degrees out it runs at around 170 - 180 Degrees. I am happy - so is my engine - it seems to be Tom
  5. E-Bay - Type in 1947 Chrysler - search Dash Pot Plunger - $26 most of the time it is listed this way. Seller's name escapes me, I think it may be i-monet
  6. Harvie, The small cylinder is a Condenser. It is there to subdue Radio Static noise. It is not needed. I will stand aside to others for your other electrical questions, as I am not qualified to comment. I am electrically chalenged. Tom
  7. Also Bleed em clean every other year or so. I waited a few years and trash got into my MC and effected the way my Brakes worked/didn't work. Bleeding and adjusting every so often - Big!
  8. Mopar Art. Great Idea, mix it up, put Christmas Lights on it.
  9. Ditto, Teflon Tape keeps the leaks away. I have been doing this both ways since 1973, and Teflon Tape wins hands down. Tom
  10. Bob, get back on your Meds dude.
  11. Vintage Power Wagons
  12. Dennis has alot, great call. also I searched for the Royal Dash Parts and came up empty. That guy in Canada must have sold them.
  13. New rebuilt engines are usually tight and somewhat tough to start the first time. I know when I have done a few piston and ring jobs that has been the case. It has been told to me several times down through the decades, that upon that first start to run the engine at a higher R.P.M. for about 15 to 20 minutes to allow for the initial rings to seat/set themselves. In this manner the engine will then be able to start smoother upon subsequent re-starts. After a few gentle rides (break in period) all will be corrected in such a manner that it will start smoothly each time. I typically find resetting the Timing, and also using a vacumm Gauge to reset the carb is quite useful at this time as well. Tom
  14. Search ebay, and you will find a group of the Bake Lite Parts you are referring to. Ssearch 1948 Chrysler, I believe they are the Royal Style (Cream Color with marbled look). The seller is proud of them.
  15. Too Sunny today for good pics but here goes. I just took these moments ago
  16. Got Best of show today in Concord North Carolina. Great Cars there - about 300 - 350 Cars
  17. Vacumn Gauge test tells alot about the health of an engine and whether it has vacumn any advance as well if you know how to use one. Cheap @ $20 for a Gauge at Auto Store - easy test also. You can set a Carburator with one or discover a problem with the Carb or choke as well
  18. Mash down on the Clutch Pedal. It should drop right in place
  19. One on ebay now under 1948 Chrysler
