  1. the picture of the rule shows the stated width of the metal at nearly 1/4 inch when it is stated to be 1/8 the drawing should be amended to show some annotated lengths and width. Perhaps the drawing does print to scale but in the absence of the stated values one has no guarantee.
  2. what's it weight, you will always be correct with ..."16 ounces to the pound"
  3. I believe if I can get the inside roof of this little British van standing tall and looking good the rest will be as easy as falling over.....this I think may be a few days in the making even if all goes well. Got the bottom all set in primer...you can see some of the inner roof in the shot.....here is your challenge Frankie.....pass or play....
  4. keep the whacky weed......nothing like the smell of bondo in the morning....
  5. show up at my house....I'll give you the chance to reek to high heaven.....!!!!! Plenty to do in Elko.....pick your poison, cutting/fabricating.....welding.....stripping (paint only please) sanding/grinding, painting...engine work....just about anything and more...even let you pull weeds, mow grass...cut firewood and tend the garden. Food is good, coffee better the best you can get, may even bake a pie.
  6. depends on position of the body to the slot.......does not hurt to check this....without seeing it, no sure answer something only you can verify...
  7. as an added in case you not aware there is another bolt on the adjuster that locks the distributor to the adjuster plate...added movement can be obtained.
  8. oil pump is serviced externally.....some applications may require a slight lift of the engine to clean a frame rail
  9. re-clock the wire on the distributor cap......
  10. you can price yourself a torque multiplier, after you pick yourself off the floor you will then opt for the cheater and a couple grunts....but...you forgo the accuracy of the torque wrench....you need a trunk gorilla as in this case a trunk monkey just won't be up to the task...
  11. the Plymouth unless a Canadian version got set up for use of the shorter 23 inch block and not the longer 25 inch of the domestic 265. It will fit with some minor modifications to the front mount and moving the radiator forward of the radiator shell. Cutting a notch for the damper is required and if you go this route, ensure the notch is large enough to allow belt change.
  12. for sure, that is some major meat shown there...I would have to go down the street and see if I could borrow the neighbors gorilla...monster hands for a monster block
  13. I have never failed to remove a main cap by hand using the bolts when backed out and rocking it gently using the bolts as small levers...
  14. just what you going to chip up with that wood chipper.....never mind, I don't want to know......!!!!!!!!
  15. You are right Los, it is a bit of work prepping the garden space. last year I put another 25 buckets together for a total of 50 buckets...the dirt I got was recently dug (scraped actually) and loose and dry...winter, turns out it is just like clay....so...had to reaccomplish the 25 buckets for this year. That was more work than original filling. I also purchased an additional 25 for adding on a bit later. Garden takes a lot of time input for sure. Mums is just getting into this as she never was around gardens before. She does not dig in the dirt well yet but she does water it and lets me know is something is amiss. I will probably not go beyond 75 buckets as I have the space already set aside for the buckets I now have.
  16. I have twin cats on my P15 (not the meow/purring kind) but is no flattie.....!
  17. close enough Greg, close enough....
  18. its tater.......!!!!
  19. another old saying in the hobby..........it smokes, but it old enough to do so....
  20. in other words....tune that sucker up.....!!!!!!!!!
  21. if I understand most all things related to the old car is grandfathered...BUT...if we the owner see fit to do upgrades like say seat belts for one, once in place they are now subject to the law of the land and become ticket able offences if not used. I would also think that any catalytic converter once in place and discovered by a local inspection should your state require physical inspections and such, that you are now in a category that would mandate compliance to all attributes of the current clean air act and or retro if you can prove the dated application of said converter from the era you selected to use. This could work in your favor but could also bite you in the butt...I would solicit guidance from your local DMV and their guidelines to retrofitting. Many put later model engine and drivetrains into vehicles then circumvent the devices that should be in place. Anyway, right or wrong that is how I see it....one day it may boil down to forced compliance but till then...keep it tuned and enjoy the drive.
  22. they are not......now if they have the same supplier....I cannot say...
  23. personally I think re-landscaping should on your terms, not Mother Natures....I did not suffer any long term or sever temps, but this last year I lost a few fruit trees for some reason. Bummer.....BUT...the garden is planted, we survived the Easter normal thumb in your eye cold snap by covering it a couple nights....actually the wife did the uncovering/covering once I set it up as I had gone on walkabout to fetch a car home, attend a swap meet and visit family in the hills.
  24. and you wonder why some repairs do not last or work to begin with....sometimes one may need to confiscate tools....lock garage doors and maybe even break a hand or two.?
  25. personally I think a good state of tune would be all that is required here...
