Dave72dt Posted November 25, 2013 Report Posted November 25, 2013 Looks like you might have brought the bumpers in a bit tighter to the body. I like what I'm seeing. Quote
casper50 Posted November 25, 2013 Report Posted November 25, 2013 I like the front bumper a lot. Quote
greg g Posted November 25, 2013 Report Posted November 25, 2013 Looks good. I like the larger rear wheel well openings. Which hemi is that? Quote
Oldguy48 Posted November 25, 2013 Report Posted November 25, 2013 That front bumper looks great. Quote
mrwrstory Posted November 25, 2013 Report Posted November 25, 2013 Very cool ! Especially like the 42 fenders and the stance. I've got some catching up to do. Quote
DCurrent Posted November 25, 2013 Report Posted November 25, 2013 Yes I agree with the others on the front bumper. Awesome job with it!! Very unique idea. Quote
DJ194950 Posted November 26, 2013 Report Posted November 26, 2013 (edited) Very intrigued about how you made the reverse curve in that front bumper and the chrome is still pretty intact. Please share! Thanks, Doug Edited November 26, 2013 by DJ194950 Quote
Don Coatney Posted November 26, 2013 Report Posted November 26, 2013 Bumper looks great but I believe the chrome is gone and what is left is bare metal. Is that correct? Quote
scotty t Posted November 26, 2013 Author Report Posted November 26, 2013 yep, the bumpers are bare metal, after all that work they WILL be chrome though! the front bumper actually took 2 bumpers, or at least a chunk of a second one. a lot of relief cuts and welding made the curve. they are sucked in to the body quite a bit. i'm using the the stock steering wheel and column attached the a cav r&p. stock pedals with hyd clutch and dual master cyl. stock front seat. the 5spd shifter is a stick cut out an old grain truck (tapered round rod) im getting excited now, i found real nice rocker trim and gravel guards for the front of the rear fenders. Bmartin Posted November 26, 2013 Report Posted November 26, 2013 Definitely digging the customizing, great looking ride! Quote
chopt50wgn Posted November 26, 2013 Report Posted November 26, 2013 Reminds me of the old style customizing from the 50-60's. Everything done is done right and so subtle that if you didn't know what you were looking at, you would think that's the way it was built. I really like the look and you're doing one helluva nice job. 1 Quote

scotty t Posted March 9, 2014 Author Report Posted March 9, 2014 (edited) here's a couple updates, the hemi is on permanent mounts, the brackets and pulleys are figured out. and a nice master cyl bracket. the clutch uses a wilwood master cyl. and it mounts on the frame . stock clutch linkage should work as well. if this bracket works out like we think it will, they will be made available. OldDad67 Posted March 20, 2014 Report Posted March 20, 2014 i realy dont know what else it might fit. If your going to build something like that to sell 49 to 54 Chevy's car and truck are very simular to the Mopar in that clutch and brake both pivot off the front of the mastercylinder, just a thought if your looking to increase your market share. I'd be interested in something like that for my 52 hardtop Chevy. Just a thought. Quote
