The center piece is stamped but no dings or dents: Now I have a decision to make, use this grille or two parallel bars from a '55. I'm having a body shop shorten the one bar to match the other. Will install both take a picture and decide.

paul. that is what I did for my 53, I shortened my own parallel bar, not a hard job, but it looks good. I really like the look! (by the way, thanks again).

Good info. I can see the front fender extension in Paul's pic below! Looks like it's about 12" long at least. Are the big blocks that much longer than the little 23" flatties?

Some better pics comparing the front fenders and extensions of medium Duty 1-1/2 to 2-1/2 ton Dodge trucks with the bigger heavier 2-3/4 to 4 ton series Dodge trucks that have longer front fenders and wider fender extensions. The "Molyblock" engine has a seven inch longer head and weighs nearly twice what a 218 or 230 weighs.

For some reason my camera started to take blurry pics, so this is not too clear. I kind of like the old red with the blue.

I've been that drunk Paul. Don't worry too much about it mate. Wait til you're sober and try again!!

But more seriously - check the camera settings. My wifey's camera does the same in poor lighting conditions.

Try cleaning the lens. I had that happen a while back and found a smudge on the lens

ditto that, my cell had half a smudge, so half was clear, half "foggy"

"been that drunk" . . . there is an old addage about Elenore Roosevelt and a drunk man who said to her, 'Your the ugliest first lady ever', she replied, 'Sir you are drunk', he countered " Yes, but I will be sober in the morning!". Elenore was not physically attractive, but she was one smart lady. I always admired her, not many first ladies like her. IMHO.

Will clean the lens again. I bought it off CL for $30, maybe buy a couple more and have a spare. Cameras take a beating when used in the shop.

I loosely installed my 'new' grille. It's going to work. It needs some more shaping, sanding, etc., but it will fit the patina. The grille came with chrome park lights, solid by chrome is bad, but I like the painted ones better. I waited along time for this grille. The camera is better but not much, and yes, I am sober. :D

Geez Paul, you really gotta lay off the drink buddy!

I assume that you're still having problems with that fuzzy camera of yours.

I recall not that long ago when you didn't take pictures of anything. Might be time for a new camera - maybe that one's all worn out? Grille looks alright though - even if it's fuzzy.

I just received these pictures from Kimballstock photography.  They have been submitted to Classic Truck calendars for 2015. Fun stuff.  My truck is the ONLY true patina truck in 17 pages of pictures.

Love it Paul!
