A month ago it was confirmed that I have throat cancer, they call it head and neck cancer now. My right tonsil came back possitive and it has gone to some lymph nodes on the right side of my neck.

I am having the cemo treatments in Cooperstown,NY, just finished the first session, the next session of Cemo starts June 11, then again on July 2. Once the cemo treatments are done, then I will get intense radiation treatments for five to six weeks five days a week. When that time comes, we are staying in Cooperstown, we found a nice trailer to rent where we could also have Cooper with is.

The Dr's say that I have a good prognosses since it was found rather early

I have smoked since 1964 so I have no one to blame but myself, needless to say, not smoking now. Who knows, maybe by me posting this, if someone reads it and quits smoking, then I have done a good thing.

The "Wayback Machine" is parked in the garage for the time being. With the first installment of cemo, I have no ambition what so ever, very happy sitting in the recliner taking naps.

I had a nuelasta shot Wednesday in Delhi, NY, that is to make my white blood cells rebuild themselves. Saturday I had a blood test, my white blood count was good, so the shot is working.

I hope everyone is having a good day and PLEASE get out there and enjoy those old MOPARs as one knows...........................

Bob, use the "Wayback Machine" as a recliner too! Your car can be excellent reinforcement on your road to recovery. My thoughts are with you to quote a line in one of my favorite movies, "Never give up! Never surrender!!"

I will put you on my prayer list. A friend here in the valley had Valley Fever. He heard that humor was good for healing, so he ordered all the videos he could of Carson, Hope, Benny, etc and watch humor for weeks. He recovered and enjoyed his recuperation at the same time.

Best wishes on a speedy recovery Bob.

My Sister, and one of my long time friends were in this situation

many years ago. Both are doing very well now, I know you will be well soon...

Your attitude is such that there is no other outcome expected except a positive one! You really must use your car to support your recovery, even if only viacariously through photos and chatting here. We're all here to support the user as well as the automobile.

Be well my friend ~ Mark

Thanks everyone for the neat replies, they are greatly appreciated.

The gas tank in leaking in the Plymouth, but hopefully we can patch it until later so I can still put some miles on the old girl It is nothing I can do right now as I even have a stomach peg in for tube feeding if necessary, so no climbing where I shouldn't be:(:(

Having been in contact with Bob, and had the priviledge of being able to speak with you on the telephone the other day.

I know Bob , and his family are doing well, and Bob is receiving very good care in Cooperstown.

Speedy recovery Bob, the 40 Plym, needs to drive a whole lot more miles yet, and you have some young Grandkids to spend time with too.

Look forward to your posts on your progress, take care, and speedy recovery to you.......................Fred

Bob,

I've enjoyed the trips that you and Cooper have shared with us especially the fall color trips. I hope that you and Cooper will be able to share more of those with us this year--my thoughts and prayers are with you

Bob,I wish you well, hope all goes smoothly.I like Paul's suggestion of using humour to supplement the medical treatment you're undergoing...I still get a laugh when I watch episodes of All in the Family with Archie Bunker (Carrol O'conner),also I get a laugh watching Groucho Marx,Red Skelton and others...And I'm sure there's a list things you have to look forward to - among others, getting back into the driver's seat of your old coupe with Cooper and no doubt folks in your area will be looking forward to you fulfilling your role as Santa next Christmas..
