  1. i am blown away it has been 7yrs since i looked into having my little single diaphragm booster rebuilt. at the time i had asked Dewey Booster, Midwest booster, Brake Systems inc, all at the time said no rebuild kits available for mine but, at the time Brake Parts STOP in Fort Wayne IN said yes. (260-426-331) https://brakematerialsandparts.com/ BTW, still waiting for the video of it running
  2. lol, i found if you empty the rat's nest and debris first they are lighter i removed mine by myself but it took four of us to put it back on from all the body filler i used. LOL
  3. Man that sounds good! That video makes me so happy… nice job! ?
  4. LOL, What a “suck up”..... you’re just after that Minnesota beer in April. I know your game JT. ?
  5. hahaha, the image of you running around the barn squirting fuel on those pesky vermin with a fuel pump….. comedy ?
  6. Must be a bad photo angle, I don’t see the strike and latch ?
  7. With the harmonic balance timing marks at TDC on the pointer and the Distributor rotor pointed at #1 spark plug wire on the cap. both valves (Intake and exhaust) should be closed. You will know if they are closed because both tappets will be at their lowest position at the same time if you rotate the harmonic balance a little more the #1 exhaust valve will start to open Also, did you make sure the valves are adjusted?
  8. a few years ago, my nephew helped me put the cab back on my b3b, he asked “where do the air bags go?” Oh to be 20 again…. ?‍?
  9. Lol, hey Bryan are you saying “it’s in the magic parts book”? ?
  10. If not, I’ve had luck with my local fleet pride on my smaller 2ton for re lining the shoes.... maybe they would have a source for a kit? https://branches.fleetpride.com/pa/ Btw, still waiting on that video of it running ?
  11. You probably already know but, I just saw Napa UP 217 also mentioned 1-3/4” bore (not a clue if it would work or not)
  12. That is great, but If it doesn’t work ....... I am a fan of supporting the site if possible
  13. I did the ones in my 1ton with the motor in the truck. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=NVnDWdJrQBk&feature=youtu.be if you drive them with the cam and tappets still in, you’ll need to break them off mid way. I used a vibrating saw to score them before I snapped them. and yeah, prep that baby like it is going into surgery ? I plugged all the possible holes with towels, wrapped towels behind my work area and then I used tin foil to hold it in place. oh yeah, I also bought a driver and setter I was pleasantly surprised how much abuse that block took
  14. How much of the old stud is sticking out? not second to last, but I have welded a broken bolt on and had success ?
  15. Looks like the shop Manuel calls it in “Airdome” http://dodgepilothouseclub.org/know/manual/Fuel_pumps.pdf
  16. Dodged you’ll be fine with the doors at 7’ i’ll guess my one ton (on the left) is 6’6”All of us are a little over 6’ tall in the photo (except not sure about Joe on the right) hey Ed, see that photo came in handy ?
  17. Ok, last video of my 6v positive ground system being ran off 12v battery https://youtu.be/kCR6qPUjyYQ hopefully this one is more clear and you can see it only takes one wire from the coil to the battery….. nothing else hooked up. Keep in mind though, don’t just leave the coil wire hooked up to the battery without it running. (Or at least trying to start it) The coil will get hot. Example = don’t hook it up and the go make yourself a sandwich ?
  18. Hagens Auto Parts https://hagensautoparts.com/ Sadly it appears Hagens is permanently closed ☹️
  19. Wow, I didn’t realize that was an actual tag....... my b3b, someone hand painted the 6000 on the bed sides. You do good work Brad!
  20. Yeah! ? Rob and I are not going to let you over think this. ? use a can like Rob said… will tell you if the pump needs attention or the carb or timing etc. ( the crowd is chanting…… do it, do it, do it ?)
  21. Sweet! You had mentioned using a 12v earlier…. I guess I thought that was what you were doing all along. ? Lol, would you please fire this up! I am on the edge of my seat over here. from what I have seen, the brakes can be your biggest budget item (as it should be) but, for me they have always been after 20 or 30yrs sitting not the 5 or so years this one has been sitting. ( start it up!! ?)
  22. I agree, All three of the videos I have posted on this thread was using a 12v battery, I like to use a 12v to take the possible electric issues out of the equation (why I disconnect the ignition wire from the starter) get it running good off a 12v, then hook up the 6v system on a fresh battery. has worked for me
  23. Lol, yeah I said solenoid but, meant starter switch…. I’ve had a coupe corroded to where nothing would work. Just a thought
  24. And the Solenoid and brushes look good?
  25. I have started a few of the smaller flatheads without the generator and VR being hooked up. I usually disconnect the ignition wire from the starter
