    Old dodge trucks of course
  1. I was searching for a new van and found this classic. Thought someone here might be interested. http://evansville.craigslist.org/cto/3488711431.html Way more than I have to spend on one. I just wish I could get mine to look and run good.
  2. Picked up the one from Napa yesterday. It has the extra loop. Says it fits a 49 dodge truck. was $37 for just the head gasket.
  3. Would prefer a pilot house. I am not quite in the market yet. Just wondering if there are any around and try and figure out how much i need to save up.
  4. That is awesome. I was just referring to the title of the thread, not a picture. How much do you think it costs for one of those?
  5. Anybody ever seen one of these? I have 7 kids and would love one of these to replace my Dodge B3500 15 passenger van.
  6. My 51 parts book says that they changed the gasket in 50 starting with engine number T172-100903 is part #1326318 Part#1117542 is for T172-100902 and before, was different gasket. I assume that is when they went to internal from external. If you need I can scan page 265 and you can win the argument.
  7. the rockauto gasket has the little bump out like you said for the internal. http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=121713 are all the rest of the holes the same? Would that little bumpout make a difference on the external bypass? You don't have a picture of the one gasket on top of the other do you? thanks for all the help so far. I have a friend coming on monday to finally get this motor running after sitting for 8 years.
  8. Mine is like that one. So External it is.
  9. this one has a bunch of year ranges. also says it will do the 201, 218, and 230. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NOS-1934-60-Plymouth-Dodge-201-218-230-Head-Gasket_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem587da32ef8QQitemZ380064968440QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories What am I missing. I would really like to see a picture of that head gasket with the extra holes.
  10. this one shows a picture of the gasket for a 48 49. Does anyone have a picture of the 50 with the extra holes? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/DODGE-PLYMOUTH-FLATHEAD-SIX-HEAD-GASKET-PLUGS-1933-1948_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem19b72dabe4QQitemZ110447406052QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories
  11. this set says it fits the 218 or 230 and 1948 to 1950 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Head-Gasket-Set-1934-1948-Dodge-Plymouth-218-230-Eng_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem587f020bbbQQitemZ380087962555QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories
  12. How do I tell if it has the external bypass? And I take it that means that all 50's have the external bypass? Mine is a 49 B-1-C
  13. Does anybody know if the 1950 engine gaskets will work on a 1949? They are both 218. I need to get this ordered if it is the right part.
