  1. Viscosity comparison chart, "W" designation is cold weather viscosity...
  2. Knuckleharley, It saddens me greatly to learn that your health has taken a wrong turn...I'm kinda at a loss for words, please know that my thoughts are with you also... Along with other members of this forum, I'll be looking forward to your continuing posts as you are able. Ralph
  3. Merry Christmas to all ! ?
  4. Reminds me of the time some years ago when my wife and I were invited during our winter to spend a few days with friends at their place in San Jose del Cabo. We were up early, (beautiful sunny morning), outside in our swimsuits ready for a dip in the pool - kinda a contrast, while a local gardener was wearing a heavy woollen sweater... ?
  5. My wife and I set up the Christmas tree today...I just hauled the tree and decorations out, Lillian does the decorating.... A little bit of snow falling here today... Put on some Christmas tunes and enjoyed listening once again to Johnny Mercer and Margaret Whiting singing."Baby It's Cold Outside" ..?
  6. FWIW...This 1946 Plymouth coupe (modified) showed a respectable performance on the track against a Lamborghini Huracan...? Fun to watch,Season 1 Episode 2, "Fastest Car"..
  7. I like the idea of a flashing brake light, thanks for posting the link.?
  8. The last time I saw a Vincent up close was at a vintage British motorcycle gathering going back 25 years...As for red heads and black leather, that's always spelled trouble! ?
  9. I didn't bother to follow Tod's calculation...I just know he ended up with the right answer....In a DC circuit - W = I2 x R or, W = V2 / R ?
  10. " There's nothing in this world like a 52 Vincent and a red headed girl " - Richard Thompson. I just like the song. ?
  11. Bryan, Good to hear your eye surgery was successful. Good vision is something to be truly thankful for.

    Hot Rods

On another thread the topic veered from Thickstun intakes to the subject of hot rods. I can't claim to be a hot rodder although I have got to know a few over the years and I admire the creativity and fabrication skills of some. No pretense. not for purists nor those who into 20 grand paint jobs...A video on youtube titled - "Echo: Made In The Shade - A hot rodder's documentary "?
  13. When I get around to installing the Edmunds dual intake and custom exhaust on the old 46 Plymouth coupe I have, it will be for my personal enjoyment.. I won't be be doing it for, nor expecting any oohs and aahs from anyone. Simple modifications, easily put back to original for the purists. It certainly won't be a performance engine by any imagination...more of a nostalgia thing for me. Thirty years or so ago I was at a car show, saw a 33 Dodge coupe that had a modified 54 flathead fitted with an Edmunds dual intake, custom headers, and some bling and it took me back in time to the sixties when I owned a 37 Chrysler coupe fitted with the Edmunds dual intake,etc..Up to that time I hadn't seen any Edmunds speed equipment on an old flathead at any shows...I started looking. and have been able to find some stuff at reasonable prices.?
  14. Beautiful car, great photo and it looks great with the fall colours in the background.
  15. Everybody is entitled to their opinion... I'm familiar with the original ignition system used on the old vehicles I own ,why change? Engines run fine. Parts and maintenance procedures agree with the manuals. Keeps it simple for me.?
  16. We'll just ignore Chrysler used it in 1972 .?
  17. I found a picture of the 1937 Studebaker President hubcap the Studebaker "S" forms part of the letter "P"... a classy car.
  18. Looks like a 1937 Studebaker Dictator coupe, maybe President coupe. Nice! ?
  19. Nice find on the engine. The 1936 Chrysler C7 is the more conventional Airstream model rather than the Chrysler Airflow. The specs as listed by Loren are correct for that engine.?
  20. I love small towns, travelled through, and spent time in many over the years. I recently watched a movie titled, "Lucky", starring the late actor,Harry Dean Stanton... a movie not to everyone's taste to be sure - but,I rather enjoyed watching it. ?
