Waddya think- use #2 Permatex on new transmission gaskets?
T120 replied to '41 Fat Bottom Girl's topic in P15-D24 Forum
Never used "Right Stuff", however I agree with you ,having encountered gasket sealers improperly applied to excess and in some cases even used to replace a proper gasket..It can be time consuming to properly clean up the mess.? -
Thank you both,Dodgeb4ya and HotRodTractor for posting info on both the Daytona valve and Grose jet. I have never used either one and learned something new today...?

Speaking of vinegar - In my younger days I was full of, "piss and vinegar", now not so much as the years are catching up with me.?

Very sorry to hear of the theft of your stuff, knuckleharley... I don't have a Doberman, but I am also the owner of an Ithaca 37. .....I should have added, I do have a small dog and although he is not a Doberman, he doesn't know that, he is extremely alert and an excellent watchdog. If there is any slight noise or anything out of place he is quite vocal (loud)...

T120 replied to keithb7's topic in Off Topic (OT)
Thanks for posting the video, enjoyed watching - although I'm not sure I would trust Jay Leno driving one of my old vehicles...appears he missed a stop sign around 27.55 in the video.? -
Good advice. ?

While not an actual photo of the event...Had a cousin here on the prairies in Canada that had the reputation of being a successful farmer, some claimed due to having acquired the sections of farmland he farmed from profits dealing in illegal alcohol... I can't confirm this and certainly won't judge, but he had a large family to support as well. ?..Every family has one.☺️

I am lucky as well, my wife still willingly helps me whatever the occasion and I could use that extra pair of hands...? -
Almost 30 years has passed since seeing a few of these old tail draggers in the proper locale on a cruise . I kinda enjoyed the show ... rather cool!?
-
A matter of taste..Fender skirts look good on some cars ,not so on others - same goes for sun visors and wire wheels. Years ago I was in Reno during Hot August Nights.Downtown one evening the nightly cruise was in progress,it was okay but after a while it got rather boring with the seemingly endless parade of tri five chevys and the like. As it was getting dark,a dozen or more late 30's - early 50's tail dragger coupes showed up,maybe from the same car club. Most had fender skirts, some had sun visors, some with swamp coolers. Occasionally as if on cue, they would slow down, with some giving a demo of their trick suspension ,others with short bursts from their flame thrower exhausts. Not for everyone. A lot of work had gone into their cars. Some have the talent for putting it together, others don't... I know my limitations so I pretty much stick to stock.? Anyhow, I enjoyed the show.?

1956 Plymouth Fury...Having seen one new on the road back in the day and since then lusted to have one ?....I missed my chance and now, not placing my odds owning one by winning a lottery.?

While not a necessary piece of equipment to do a tune up,I suppose it would save time back in the day...This is one I have in my garage Sun 920...As it says "We Test...Not Guess" ?

The collection was sold yesterday.Everything was sold no reserve, vehicles were advertised as "loose, not running at this time". I gather they haven't been on the road for quite awhile. Nice to see they are now back in circulation...This is one of the vehicles, 1932 DeSoto that was sold at $48,500.
