ONLY time to rebuild if the tests measurements taken prove that there is a problem...else...guessing.....you could simply have a voltage drop causing problems but then again, this is a test you would have to make also.....good testing habits allow you to spend your money more wisely and get you down the road faster.

Power window vendors/options

I bet your special plan is contacts mounted in the door and jamb...while they may work great on the truck...these do not play well with the sedan... I used a setup oh so similar to the first posted units above and may be from the same company, name rings familiar.... this are on the Dodge bz cp...flat glass and front and rear guides make these an easy install. -
third brake light, added high mount brake light should always run separate wire from switch to this lighting unit....sorry if I caused you any confusion. I am running a 55W halogen on mine....you WILL see this....

glad it is going well....it is a rather nervous time shaking one down and learning its quirks and such, building up a healthy respect for it capabilities and increasing confidence. Long ago I put a small car together from top to bottom end to end...the engine was in the front floor board, tranny in the trunk....interior looked like it was home to a goat. But 6 months from purchase and sporting new paint I did a shake down of 1200 miles....basic maiden voyage through 4 adjoining states and back to the loss of one bolt in the shifter plate, one bad coil wire as I did not buy a new set when I built the pup and a cracked exhaust pipe readily fixed with a flex joint. Would I do that again, at this age, NO....back then I was invincible as was my steed....! But I am building similar car today and would love to traverse the mountains in it some day...but I will shake her down locally.

I think he does have access to one.....my bad on that.....still, with proper use of the meter.....he should be able to breeze through the circuits and be right back up and running in short order. I said what I did more as a reminder in troubleshooting you don't need to buy support parts until the test prove them bad and with the DVM in play he has all he needs for testing 'cept access to a socket. Shorting wires/jumper all have their place for a by-pass but that is only an indicator you have issues.....and if jumper does/fails to prove anything...you still have grounds and opens to contend with. The DVM is going to pull the fat out of the fire. Another item in the circuit is the tie points....(terminals) on the radiator shell....don't over look these for loose/corroded. Voltage drops on poor connections will kill a circuit in a heartbeat...

I read it the man cannot get the bulbs out...so new bulb could not be plugged in....and if he can get to the bulb or plug and with the acknowledgement he has a VOM on hand....spare bulb is only needed it indeed the test prove his are shot....

first off...the fuel for all three circuits come from the same well so to speak....the manner it is syphoned in the carb throat is the key to what circuit is being used. As it is running rich....I would look to see that the main throttle plate is not to far open and bypassing the idle port and defeating the venturi effect you may have other issues that is the cause for the opened throttle like vacuum leaks etc that warrant investigation.

I'd walk past 600 finished cars....every tri-5, twang and camzeros stepping lightly among rattlers and copperheads to look at the Rambler....they just that few and different....

getting major rain storm from the Hurricane
Plymouthy Adams replied to desoto1939's topic in Off Topic (OT)
Having lived through floods hurricanes and the what not....I am not taking away from any of these event except to say that the media now gives quick on the spot coverage whereas in the old days....not much out of town news of this sort made headlines. I believe we have always lived with these event and well...we will them time and again if not taken out in one of the mishaps. I made a comment to another person in PM form....where is all the aide and such from other countries, never mind...I keep forgetting the one way streets....some of this is so common that it is just a way of life. -
I have always like the PV544 and would love to have a Duett....but a Duett one needs deep pockets. This car came along at a good price and close enough for a day trip retrieval. Hey bucket seats, 4 on the floor, dual carbs, two doors and our favorite bolt pattern...5 x 4.5....what is not to like? I see an Amazon wagon running about now and then probably the newest Volvo of interest to me. Not many older Volvo cars in the area. I like many cars that are not a dime a dozen at cruise ins.

when they asked a farmer what he thought of the international situation...he kinda scratched his head and stated....might fine tractor...!
-
our local swap meet sponsors dropped the venue and we have a new event sponsor starting this fall. Your picture is a good reminder as our new sponsor also host the local vintage tractor and implement show same day but on other side of the facility. This will be the first car and tractor event though again, different display fields. Thing is you pay one gate admission and get to do both shows same money. It will be good to get the event back up and running.....I reserved two spaces side by side and have a couple friends from out of state coming to visit and vend. Only 8 miles from the house.

I still like that grille...every time you post a pic it is a reminder I need to get my car out of the barn and work on it a bit...

the other company is not necessary a company I seek out but when shopping online and is not a car part company but they do have a section for automotive, lot of stuff I need to support the house and the shop will often be listed by them....much is the stuff I need/use in my small machine shop Zoro....if they have the listing....I rest easy knowing I will get what I ordered, will be top notch and their customer service is excellent.

Dallas - Fort Worth Area Restoration shop ??
Plymouthy Adams replied to James_Douglas's topic in P15-D24 Forum
you can get an opinion but will it still translate to the same as yours when you get the item delivered and you do the inspection...and if it falls shy of a mark in any category.....what then....??? -
I view them as a drop shipper....one who has links to direct sales providers and act much like a middle man.....I have bought a few items from them when all the stars align in the heavens.....there is another company I deal with that is much like these guys but shipping is not flip flopped back and forth. If I see a part with their name attached....I have 100% confidence.
-
IF there was a reasonable explanation for the first item shipping from point A being flipped to shipping from point B when you shopped about their site for the other item to also to ship from point A...else...it is solely a flim flam job....and as how it is now shipping point B you go back and change to the original selection of item 2 to be point B...whala...item one is now back to shipping from point A. Others may not be able to pick up on this shell game...I believe they count on that to some degree. I have found their site to be best used as a alternate part number source for shopping with real companies.

personally I think a new down pipe welded to a bit better flange (thicker) is in order...the sealing surface of the small pipe shoulder/flange as shown is for a donut as further supported by what appears to be a dished flange for the cup of the pipe sealing ring. Your surface as pointed out by sniper is just to small and with the obvious over tightening has not sealed and has instead bent the ears of the flange...lessening the over all clamping effect. Further that manifold appears to be weakened by a crack and may well be the next failure item here and you will need to tread with caution for sure.
-
unless I have overlooked a port, it is vented through the input shaft cover.....there is special provision provided for the oil to return to the tranny should any make its way from the front bearing....
-
certain online order site....pick an item....ships from point A, pic second item ships from point B swap that item and it states ships from point B swap again and find that time in another brand shipping from point A.....now look at your cart....your first item has now swapped to ship from point B...see the pattern.....two shipping charges....now go back and select first item ship from point A second item from point B and now select a duplicate of the second item that was shown as shipping from B...it is now shipped from point C.....they ripping everyone on shipping.....this is the third time I have found this and the third time I have I just closed the site an an obvious ripoff.....
-
why did you bother to ask what this part was.......it is evident even after being told what it is you still are in disbelief....while often not pictured in the IPB it is covered in the diagnosis section under causes for possible leakage....
-
vent for the axle......it vents the axle while it also is the fastener for the T-block for the brake lines...

160 degree vs 180 degree thermostat

I hear you but to me that is REASON to test properly before changing anything....but then, that is just who I am
