Happy 46R
Last year the weather cooperated and I was able to take a ride on Christmas Eve with no snow and mild temperatures. (-3 Celcius) This year I am not so sure as we have already had a skiff of snow that has thankfully gone and some colder temperatures. I try to run the car right up to snow so will have to keep a close eye on the weather. Today was around 6 degrees with only a light breeze so I headed out to inspect some of the SPOOKTACULAR creations around town. Caught this one as it was being set up so hopefully the halloween weather on Thursday does not include the rain scheduled for 4:30 local time. Happy Halloween everyone.
Plymouthy Adams
I know the feeling, while we rarely lose any time for driving the car, today was so nice I just said heck with it all and took the motor bike out for a good long cruise, blew through a tank of gas....now I think I will take mums out for supper and call it the weekend complete. This really does not mean much, the AC is still running for the house. Edited October 27 by Plymouthy Adams
Solution Dan Hiebert Posted October 28 Solution Report Share Posted October 28 Up here I aim for mid-October to put the old cars up, the onset of winter tends to be all over the map lately, but we can still bet on some form of snow before November. Putting the cars away involves a bit of garage-Tetris to get 4 cars in the shop so I have room to work on one, and other projects, over the winter. I discovered those under wheel car dollies last year, sure makes things easier! This winter the Terraplane takes center stage. Took the ol' D24 out for a casual spin last week to get the fuel stabilizer all through the system, gave it a good wash, and put it in the corner for the winter. First winter since we've been here that I don't feel compelled to work on something on the Dodge. A dusting of snow last night, below freezing overnights, highs in the 40's all week except Halloween, when it's supposed to get up to 70. We don't get Trick-or-Treaters at our house, but we give out treats in town at the Elks Lodge, so we still get to see the neat costumes. plymouthcranbrook
Here in Illinois our EA plates turn into pumpkins on November 1st except for National Emergencies so I am packing as much as I can into this last week.
oldodge41
I had mine out for a while today here in central PA. Visited my cousin who is a car guy too. Same last week with another cousin. I will drive it occasionally until they salt the roads.

greg g
On the agenda for today is gas trip. Being it's 75 degrees and sunny, I will combine business and pleasure. Take a trip to the gasoleenaria, for 10 gallons of non ethanol fuel, pick up a prescription at Wally Green's place, jump over to True value for a new sparky thingy for the snow blower. Then do the twisty section on NY Rt 13 downstream along Chittenango Creek north from Cazenovia to agitate the Sept gas with the November gas and and a jigger or two of Stable. Then cozy Kate up in the garage for her nap. Mouse bait stations in the garage are negative for activity. Trunk, interior and under hood will be baited up also. So last ride unless winter is mild and reduced salt diet is available. Cheers to everyone who has a 8 plus month driving season.
