48Dodger
I'm looking for a boat.....something to cruise the Delta and lakes in my area. Hitting the local park and sell to look over this rig.... But I just can't seem to escape my love of old Dodge Trucks...lol. Guess I'll be looking at more then just the boat tomorrow 48D

keithb7
Stages in life. We all go thru ‘em. Boats. Motorcycles. Old Mopars. None are needed. Its nice to bring some fun into life. Something to throw money and passion into. If ya can. Work and only saving your money, makes for a pretty boring existence. I did the family boat thing when our boys were young. Water-skiing. Tubing. Etc. Up until they were about 15 years old. Then they got part-time jobs and girlfriends. They had little time for family any more! Then I quickly sold the boat. Don’t miss it one bit. The Kids grew up. Got married. Got their careers going. They came back around. Turns out Mom and Dad are kinda fun to hang out with. Especially when they feed everyone. So now I ask them, “When are you buying a boat?” 2

48Dodger
Definitely considering this boat....I'm 56 and the kids are gone.....it's just for me and dogs. I don't ski, I explore. The truck was gone BUT there was a consolation prize...lol. Edited January 13, 2021 by 48Dodger
Plymouthy Adams
there is a P missing and now I wonder just what she may have looked like and did she age well......ok back the shop I go and continue the process of teardown, cleanup, paint lube and repairs of the rolling jacks for my lift. 48Dodger
That Chrysler boat was a different one than I was looking at. Here's the other pic. I didn't realize they were in the boat biz at one time. Guess they could have had a division for boats called "MOBO"......lol 48D
Merle Coggins
I knew Chrysler made outboard motors in the past, but didn’t know they made boats. Many of the older Chris Craft wood boats used Chrysler flathead engines. Maybe that’s what got them into the boating business.
48Dodger
Yeah....gotta check wikipedia. The boat is in the storage area, "not for sale" sticker on the windshield. Left a note....maybe he'll come to the truck show. 48D
Dan Hiebert
There wasn't a "not for sale" sticker on the Dodge PU in the background, was there? That's kinda how I got my first old truck, went looking for a used car for the missus, but found a Ford F3 (don't hate) on the same lot. Wife wasn't too thrilled when I came home with the "Clampett-mobile", but I think she misses it more than I do.
John-T-53
Sierra Boat Co. in Tahoe has got what you need.... many of these are powered by Chrysler Marine 6 and 8s! However, I only go here to check out their Flathead powered airport tug / trailer mover. Would have to sell off a part of the ranch though....
