1940plymouth Posted April 15, 2016 Report Posted April 15, 2016 Thanks for the ride Fred. No video, but I was out to our first cruise in last evening, Short notice, but a few of us showed up 2 Quote
1940plymouth Posted April 15, 2016 Report Posted April 15, 2016 On the way home after the cruise in. Not the most direct route, but a nice drive on some very back roads 2 Quote
rb1949 Posted April 15, 2016 Report Posted April 15, 2016 Finally some welcome warmth. Those trees will be green soon. Anxious for the beach again. Think our local cruise in has started too. Better weather will bring out more old iron. 1 Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted April 15, 2016 Report Posted April 15, 2016 I'd love the beach if we could lose the salt water and all that sand... 2 Quote
RobertKB Posted April 16, 2016 Report Posted April 16, 2016 Fred, here in sunny southern Alberta, most of our trees are out and all will be by the end of April as warm weather is still predicted. I have never seen trees out this early in this part of the world. They are literally a month ahead of time at least. I have been driving the old cars all winter basically and certainly lots since early March. It's weird but I'm loving it! 1 Quote

pflaming Posted April 19, 2016 Report Posted April 19, 2016 Hey, eliminate the water and the sand and you have Georgia!!! Sometimes you get what you wished for! Quote
rb1949 Posted April 20, 2016 Report Posted April 20, 2016 Sand in the toes is part of summer. And it's fresh water. Stay late with a beer and enjoy the colors. 1 Quote
ggdad1951 Posted April 21, 2016 Report Posted April 21, 2016 took FEF out this weekend, met some neighbors and filled up with a fresh tank of non-oxy.... 1 Quote
pflaming Posted April 21, 2016 Report Posted April 21, 2016 Had a short heat wave here this week, high 80's. Will be back to the high 60's next week. Love this coastal weather we have in the spring time. Quote

Plymouthy Adams Posted April 24, 2016 Report Posted April 24, 2016 was in West Virginia a few days and was able to jump back in time to the beginning of spring there...budding of trees and the blooming of the dogwood trees...an event long past here in the bellybutton of the south Quote
JerseyHarold Posted May 1, 2016 Report Posted May 1, 2016 Lockport and Selkirk are also communities in New York State (several hundred miles apart). Got me all confused.... 1 Quote
55 Fargo Posted May 1, 2016 Author Report Posted May 1, 2016 (edited) Lockport and Selkirk are also communities in New York State (several hundred miles apart). Got me all confused.... Lockport Manitoba, sets the the water depths for the red river flowing into Lake Winnipeg, which is the 10th largest freshwater lake in the world, about the size of Erie. The small city of Selkirk Mb, about 18 miles north of the city of Winnipeg, settled by the Lord Selkirk Settlers. Lower Fort Garry is in between Lockport and Selkirk, a fort and early fur trade post built in 1830s Edited May 1, 2016 by Fargos-Go-Far Quote
Dan Hiebert Posted May 2, 2016 Report Posted May 2, 2016 Heat wave in northern Maine, too. Got up to 63 Sunday! Still not enough to polish off the snow drifts in the woods and shadows, tho, and it hasn't rained enough to wash the salt off the roads (it froze right after that last rain, and they salted the roads again, hasn't rained since, but its supposed to this week. Been prepping the ol' D24, but haven't ventured out of the yard yet. Getting antsy. Quote

pflaming Posted May 4, 2016 Report Posted May 4, 2016 Walter P. Chrysler Club 47th Annual Meet Septmber 14-17, 2016 Belfast, Maine. The misspelled "Septmber" was the title head of the registration form on the net. That date causes me to think of a September trip to see our son and his family. Fall colors should be starting but not the full effect subject to weather. Air fares could be down by then as well. Quote
Dodgeb4ya Posted May 4, 2016 Report Posted May 4, 2016 Have had 87 and 91 here in the seattle area the last month. new records set. Quote

janan5243 Posted May 4, 2016 Report Posted May 4, 2016 Capitol region of New York had many record warm temps Jan., Feb., & March. Had 2nd least snowiest winter in recorded weather. Had no snow in March. Had most snow in one snowfall 1st week of April. Had one Sat. in march very close to record cold (- 19). April had below normal temps & May hasn't been up to normal yet. However, I'll take a winter like this every year. Didn't help my hardware store bottom line. I'll still take it. If they didn't salt the hell out of the roads, could have driven car most of the winter. Quote
