As the title says just looking to see what is popular. The number of questions are limited so I couldn't add fender skirts, visors etc.

I have 15" wheels with radials, plus a Fulton sun visor, but otherwise my '40 is stock, well, darn close as I was unable to find the gravel shields for the rear fenders so I used the bedliner spray to create my own

I ran out of questions. I did want to know that as well. Sorry Tim

I'm running an electronic voltage regulator, solid state diode in the generator cutout, quartz-halogen headlight bulbs and seat belts. None of those are on the list.

my list would be quite extensive also but that is okay..we don't need to detail every build...

other than engine and tranny..my 41 is still stock chassis with shock reloation, disc brakes, R&P late model mags and 2.72ratio 8 3/4 rear gear...of course things like remote entry doors and trunk..AC, 4 speaker stereo, electric windows, drivers side airbag..intermittent wipers, electronic ignition, electronic voltage regulator, low wiper reservoir light, fog lights and still the list is long..

Tim sounds like you have a long list of nice cars with some very impressive mods. I would be interested in seeing a poll with some of your thoughts. It is limited to 5 questions so that does limit it alot. I kept mine more for the more moderate Flathead crowd as you noticed..Mainly because that is what I have.

I also have the shock relocation in front, and halogen headlights (running the Bullseye lense) and some other things to add as I get time.

Old Daddy's front disc brakes, 98 Cherokee rear axle, 98 cherokee dual master cylinder, one less leaf in each spring, 15" wheels;WILL add an electronic distributor and radiator fan,. Gets hot in this valley.

Tod....I get the EVR, but what advantage does a solid state diode give you?

Went through a series of relay type cutouts in the late '70s where the points would weld themselves shut and I'd have to pop the cover and pull them apart nearly every time I stopped the engine. Got tired of that really fast and simple gutted a cutout case and soldered in the biggest power diode I could find at the local electronics store. Haven't had a problem with it since and its been over 30 years.

What is the difference between Petronix and HEI?

Honestly nothing I can think of I was just wondering about the Petronix as I was looking at that.

Pertronix is not something you can walk into a parts house and get immediately..you may be down a day or two for arrival..I think also that the dist. plate require modification for the unit so would rule out quick fix going back to stock..(per researching, look into this, carry spare dist.) and then for lasting performance it is recommended to get their specific coil for long life I have read as the resistance is matched to their set up...how critical is this part..on the reporeted failures in early life this has been the diection of the pointed finger by Pertronix, again per research, no experience first hand..

So then, they both are electronic distributors, just different mfgrs? EDIT: Don what is the source of the dual points and estimated investment?

I voted thinking about my Chrysler which is completely stock and will stay that way.  Can I take the poll again for my Model A?  That would have a few different answers.

I found my dual point setup on ebay severl years back, I think it cost me about 20 bucks or so.

How sensitive it is to adjust? That looks like a bolt in modification and reasonable too.
