Fred,
I have a piece of cardboard in the front of my radiator on the Plymouth, with it keeping the wind flow down, the car warms up much better. I remember my Father doing the same thing with his 1954 Chevy and 1962 Falcon, before he bought the '54 he had a '51 Ford that he bought brand new, but I was somewhat young to remember whether or not he used cardboard on that car
Here is my first MOPAR, 1972 Duster Twister that I bought in Topeka, Kansas in Nov of 1971. 318 with three spd on the floor, looked faster than it was, but I had it for three trouble free years, one I wish I had back now.
I have 15" wheels with radials, plus a Fulton sun visor, but otherwise my '40 is stock, well, darn close as I was unable to find the gravel shields for the rear fenders so I used the bedliner spray to create my own
Randy, I agree with you, that Dodge and the trailer are awesome looking and so was the LaBatt's truck of the same time period and the Airflow tanker trucks
I found this on the h.a.m.b. this morning, saved it as it has new 1940 Plymouths on the car carrier, I noticed the two cars in the background. The one on the right is a Packard, maybe '37 or '38, but what is the other car? It looks like a Studebaker to me,but not sure.
I want to thank GK for all his help. When the forum changed format I tried tol get back on but was unable to, so I contacted GK asking for his help, he did, but I was still unalbe to get back on through no fault of his. Well this evening here I am under a different user name and email address,
Bob D who was '40Plymouth
