I wonder where in Mississippi he found the snow to take those pictures. While I've never been in that state, I'm under the impression that snow would be an unusual weather phenomena there.

It looks like he had a Plymouth wagon that didn't run and a Chevy that needed a body. - A marriage of convenience! It is interesting that the length of the wheelbase is close to correct for the wagon.

It could always removed from the 4x4 chassis.

And it'd be really easy to inspect the rockers and floor before buying......

makes me wonder if the wagon chassis would be the same as something more common like a 4dr?

Ed..I think the chassis were all the same for that year..they started that trend in 1953..only difference is the body mounting..the chassis are pre drilled for all supports..and get installed on the chassis where needed for the associated body being fitted. As for going back to the original frame..yeah..should be doable....as for shooting brake..yeah Greg, a dog box would be right at home and dead-on theme with the 'thing' in question. It's a redneck thing I guess..there is a Honda DL sitting about 3 miles from my house that is about 5 foot off the ground, super mudders etc etc..the ole adage "it takes all kinds" is working overtime here...

It wouldnt be legal here either. Bumpers are too far off the ground.
