Since some of the memebrs are going to Hershey, Mecca, Can we set up a time and place to try to meet up with all of the Forum members.

There are several establish locations that we could meet, such as Chocolate World, At the Giant Center in the Green field Ant the stair cross over walkway between the C filed and the Green Field.

These are centrally located and are easy to get to.

Probably the best time is 12 noon each day on Thursday and Friday.

What your take onthis idea???????

I am hoping to attend both days since I only live about 1 1/2 hours drive from Hershey.

Let me know what everyones thoughts are on this.

:)Ok:

If anyone fromt he forum is attending Hershey then here is the plan

If you are there on Thursday and or Friday

The Plan is to meet at 12 NOON at the base of the steps of the cross walk that goes fromt he Chocolate fields over to the Green field or also know as the GIANT Stadium field.

When Looking at the steps and facing the Giant Stadium we will meet to the Left side of the main steps. If someone has a sign that they can small card board would be great. Put onthe sign P15-D24 so we can find the group.

I am planning on being there. If I do not make it still have the meeting without me.

Someone had to organize this informa get together. If you have any business cards with your information and names please bring to the meeting so we can share with each other.

Lets pray for no rain and plenty of sunshine. Hope everyone finds those parts that they are looking for and has a safe drive to and from Hershey.

I would be interested if someone could locate a set of glass tail light lens with blue dots put in for P23 4 door sedan. I know it may be awkward to do this, but you can contact me via email.

Ive never seen a glass p23 lens of any sort. OEM was plastic and the repro ones I've seen are plastic too.

I have a set of these for my Club Coupe..they are a bit hard to come by for sure..I have not seen another set since I came across these...they are plastic and cast special for the blue dot insert to fit flat....the only glass lenses I have seen for the P23 has been that of front parking lights, these are amber in color also..not clear as the original equipment plastic..I have seen but one set..and I have these now also...this stuff is very hard to come by..seems this model did not get a lot of after market attention...must have been the Korean war throttling the market

JD..if making your own out of standard lenses..be careful..the V shape is not really reinforced here and the dot will not sit flat either...casting is very thin and unforgiving in this area...if you were to build it up with clear epoxy tinted with red stamp pad ink..you may get a solid enough foundation to work with..I have a set at home that were a "home-job" only these have green-dots...only pair of green dots I have ever seen by the way..back to the lens, the bezels look a bit funky when you get close up to them..that external V shape is your only real problem as it prevents good all around seating..

Thanks Tim, not in a big hurry to make them. I really thought the blue dot lenses were of glass. Right now I have them where the round reflector use to go. Fit right in quite nice, although I know not legal.

I may look into a way to put a bulb behind them.

I'm hoping there's something I need there. It's a 500 mile drive ftom Michigan. I've been going to Hershey for years and thought I'd try something different this year. Last year at Hershey I only spent about $125 and didn't see much that I was looking for. JohnS

I've always used the approach to see Hershey for the all so many things that you will NEVER see anywhere again. This could be parts or simply autos that you never knew existed! It is a wonderful experience that lasts from season to season. If you happen to find something that you simply can not live without, then that is a bonus. I've been lucky enough to have attended the past 12 years, seen lots of changes, most of them positive. The paving of the old golf coarse was a good idea, it always seems to rain while the show is on, and in the early days, the mud got knee deep in spots! Now, a good pair of shoes are a must to keep comfortable walking black top all day. Got to admit, I do miss the White Field....

I have seen a great deal of changes over the past 23 years.

The A&B fields are gone. Yes A & B fields. This is the section that now has the Wooden rollercoaster The A field is now the shopping center at the North end of the park.

The White field was the otiginal small aircraft landing strip. The Yellow feild was down along the creek and this was always muddy even when it did not rain.

The Green gield was also dirt and now is the Giant Stadium field and is paved.

The C field was dirt and now is paved. One year when the C field was still dirt there was a gully that was used to get rain water to the sewer lines. Well it rain all night and when we work up we heard several geese honking and swimming in a newly formed pond of water that took up two-three vendor spots. It was the funniest thing to see.

I also remember getting snow and when it did rain the aisle would be mid calf thick with mud.

These were the good olde days.

Now that it the fields (parking lots nows) are all paved you need to wear good supporting shoes and when it is warm the heat from the pavement radiates.

Hope for good weather.

The forum memebrs if any that attend we will meet as an inpromtu status on Thursday and Friday at 12 Noon on the C field at the bottom of the stairs that lead to the green field. When looking at the stairs we will meet to the left of the stiars. If you can make it bring some business cards so we can exchange with each other.
