1940plymouth Posted November 26, 2008 Report Posted November 26, 2008 In the state of high taxes, gas is down to 1.91.9 in the next town ten miles east of here, 2.09.9 at the Citgo here in our little hamlet. My son in Oklahoma called yesterday, he said gas was 1.95 where he lives between Lawton and OKC Quote
1940plymouth Posted November 26, 2008 Report Posted November 26, 2008 Opps, my mistake, he said gas was 1.59 were he livesm not the price I quoted in the previous post. Sorry about that:mad: Quote

Norm's Coupe Posted November 26, 2008 Report Posted November 26, 2008 I just paid $1.799 for gas for the van at the Shell station near me. I've heard on the news that some stations around town are selling gas for $165 or $1.69. Not going to run around looking for those prices though. Would burn more than a dollar or two worth of gas just finding it and getting to it. After all, that's only a $2 or $3 savings on 10 or 15 gallons, plus the time wasted. I only bought about 12 gallons. Quote
greg g Posted November 26, 2008 Report Posted November 26, 2008 Tanked up somewhere in NC for 1.63 on the way to Fla. Prices near Palm Beach are just under the 2.00 mark, must be chaep enough for the Bentleys and Lamborghini crowd as we have seen several of each. Happy National Over Indulgence day. Quote
wayfarerstranger Posted November 27, 2008 Report Posted November 27, 2008 1.59 in Nashville area !!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
Frank Blackstone Posted November 27, 2008 Report Posted November 27, 2008 I am looking to fill a 50 gallon drum at that price to hedge against the inevitable price increase. Quote

48mirage Posted November 27, 2008 Report Posted November 27, 2008 Don't look to store gas for any period of time. You also need to consider where you live and when you buy it. i.e., For those that live in colder climates there is additional butane blended in to increase the vapor pressure. Then there is the dizzying environmental blends that are out there. Quote
busycoupe Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 Just filled up in Attleboro, MA at a Shell station on Route 1. $182/gal. I saw $1.78/gal a few days ago, but didn't need gas then. Quote
Frank Blackstone Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 today it is up to 1.75. I still might lay some in for the Winter. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted December 10, 2008 Author Report Posted December 10, 2008 Now, it's down to $1.46, here in town.....Joplin. The Mrs paid around that price last week on her trip to Nashville, TN, also. Quote

And I saw $1.53 today when I ran out to get lunch. I wonder how much longer this will last? Merle Quote

Then they'll probably shoot right back up there. Quote
