  1. Hello James , i have a 1949 Dodge Woodie wagon project and the original wheel`s  are 5 on 5 1/2 what other Mopar cars of the late 40`s early 50`s used this size wheel ? for one thing i`m just curious and the other when i got the car it had been taken apart and they must have misplaced the front brake drums because the front ones are the normal 5 on 4 1/2 and i will have to get the correct ones ay some point . in guess the stance would look good with large and small wheels but the spare would be a problem ? unless i had an adapter ? anyway any input would be great .  Chance Moore

  2. Hi- I am reassembling a 1949 Plymouth Suburban that was given to me in parts. It's a project and my goal was to assembly it into a complete wagon.

I see you have a couple of woodies. I always wanted to end up with one. I am an old surfer from So Cal and it's a perfect fit for me.

I hope to purchase one this year and sell my 49 Sub and my 56 Merc wagon.

If you know of any for sale or will be for sale this year let me know.

    thanks

I have a 49 Dodge Woodie only 900 made and only a handful exist today . needs restoring or could be left in original  patina condition with just mechanical rebuilds and and needed wood repairs , in other words just needed repairs to be driven , which is what my 49 Plymouth is & i love it and what i will do to the Dodge  if i keep it .  i want 30,000 as is  if it was a driver like i described it would be double that easy and like new restored around 100.000 .....  i also have a 51 Chevy Tin Woodie  with lots of new parts needs finishing these rolling down the road kinda nice are around 25 to 30,000  super nice 40 to 60.000 and up . i would want 18.000 .....

Looks like the vertical channels will work and the geared portion of the regulators, the actuator might need some mods.  Looks like the coupe glass support could be shortened to work on the four door glass.  Guess you would need to lay it all out to see for sure.  And mods might limit the vertical travel of the glass.

Send me your email for the parts number chart.  This format says I am out of space for note images.

  11. It was another fun trip , and pretty funny about the ball cap but actually they are all different in every picture , but still pretty funny . i have been driving that AMX since i was 16 as my sister bought it when she was in high school i had it totally restored back in the late 80`s and now in the process of getting it back in shape . The 49 Ply coupe in the drive way was one i was working on for someone else at the time .
  12. Is that Tim Adams in that first picture with the jug in his hand ?
