  1. They were probably protesting the food! I have a copy of Song of the South. Where will this thread go next?
  2. I respectfully disagree with those people. Every thread is entertainment for me, I read everything, no matter what. It's all good to me.
  3. Bob, we used to call those mudflaps "Tennessee air brakes" .
  4. Winky- Dink
  5. Well, there,s a third wall like that and then the stuff in the rafters. How much would it cost to ship from Indiana to Washington?
  6. What I need is right over there by that box.
  7. 1/2" fuel line is readily available, and black. But then, you could paint it too, if you dont want to see the letters on it.
  8. Aluminum pistons have steel webs cast inside them.
  9. Check the insulation on the wire just where it goes into the socket. Thats where mine was shorting out.
  10. Its not likely since the Dodge is a wider, bigger car.
  11. Bugatti Atlantis?
  12. Those mounts are most definitely home-made. Dang clever, too.
  13. If you are sure you have good strong return springs, check the rubber hose to that wheel. It may be restricting flow internally.
  14. I discovered accidentally that the rear rotors from a 2001 Mitsubishi Galant fit perfectly over the front hubs and the bolt pattern is exactly the same. However, I have no inclination to pursue it. I fear I have hijacked this thread and will say no more.
  15. Just to stir the pot, I punched the rivets out of all my drums many years ago with no ill effects at all. The lug bolts center the drum when you put it on. Having removable drums saves a lot of time and effort when you want to get at the brakes. Most older cars do not have riveted drums, I recall American motors cars had tapered axles and rear hubs with separate drums. One other benefit is that instead of having four different drums that can only be used in their original position, you can move them side to side and replace them with drums from another car regardless of the side they came from.
  16. I've seen that car before. Is it a DKW? The newest things i see are1958 other than that.
  17. Hang in there John, Along with your cars, we'll all be waiting for you. Good luck and a speedy recovery to you.
  18. That looks like a GM voltage regulator. 12 v. late 60's and up.
  19. And yet we continue to read it faithfully.
  20. Thats just what I needed! Assembly instructions. Pretty amazing movie considering the cost of color at the time. How can I save that to a cd ?
  21. I've only tried three, Liquid wrench, PB blaster and Kroil. The Kroil was easily the best.
  22. I just returned from 2 weeks in Hungary with a trip thru Austria and into Germany just for fun. It really drives home the fact that I am blessed to be an American in America. there are so many small things that I don't appreciate until I see those that don't have those things. Some people aren't allowed to have cars just for the fun of it. There are a million little things that I have to be thankful for, at this moment, I'm most grateful for a free country and the people that made it for me. I'm one lucky guy to be here and say "I'm home".
