  1. Sorry, B body? That means nothing to me. Can you be a little more explicit? How about the drive shaft?
  2. Looking to swap my stock rear axle in my 47 p-15.. what rearend will fit without much adjustment? What make drive shaft yoke will I need to fit my tranny? Thanks for any help. Would also like to keep the same bolt pattern for the rims.
  3. Buy as cheep as you can. You can end up spending a lot of $ restoring one. Restoring the driveline is expensive, as well as doing the interior. My 47 has 37,000 miles, and all original. The jack is still in the box! I value it at $18,000
  4. I watched as the car was burried alive! I then watched when it was raised from the grave! It was too bad they did not have the technology to better preserve it. I wonder how the restoration is going?
  5. Some company used to make a floor hump tray and drink holder that was held in place with somewhat heavy flexible pads. The pads were attached on each side of the holder. It worked great. Would not slide off! All other drink holders needed screws attached to hump, or the holder would slide off spilling everything in the floor. Every time I go into a automotive store, I look for one of these. I guess they don't make them anymore. They worked great!
  6. View in clasifieds
  7. Nice job,,I'd say your a true gear head!
  8. We'll, back in the day when gasoline was 15 cents a gallon we didn't have much money to gas let alone a car battery. I had a old Harley 45 trike. It had no charging system for battery, so after a period of time the battery would go dead. One day a fellow "shadetree" told me I could double my riding time by taking a regular 12 v battery, and cutting it in half, making two 6v batteries. The old batteries were made a little different on the top. Their were plates on top. This guy said after I get the battery cut in two, take a wood screw and screw it into one of the plates on top of the battery. This would make for another post, +&-. Well, I got the old wood saw out, cut the battery in two, and it worked!
  9. I just found this ok. Tag at a flee market. Hard to find 47 tag. I think I will leave it as is, and display it on my car.
  10. Yea, I know. It's not like me to do something like that. I did go back and look for the box, and saw no trace of anything.
  11. I went to an auction last weekend. Forsale were some old hubcaps, and mostly junk. The auctioneer sat this rather large wooden box on the trailer. He opened it up and said hum, looks like some old mopar parts. That caught my attention , and I bought the box for five dollars! After the auction was over I loaded the box onto my trailer. I thought I would look in the box when I got back home. When I arrived at home I went to retrieve my box, an it had blown off the trailer. I will never know what was in that box.
  12. My 47 has the original front rubber mat. The car has 37k on it, and the mat is showing more wear than I like. Does anyone know of a vendor that is making a mat for the p15? Or, has anyone ever tried to use a mat from another make of car.
  13. Yep! On radials, the way to go.
  14. I'm running Goodyear eagles on my 47, 16 in rims they are almost the same size as the stock tires.
  15. Mine was a 48 Plymouth special delux cp. 45 years later, I have the exact same car, same color, same smell.
