  1. It's not like you to have bad fields, Rodney, I've always thought of you as "out standing in your field".
  2. There are exactly 18 full turns of wire. The wire is right at .060 diameter. I am trying to estimate the pressure to collapse one 1/2". I can't seem to co-ordinate myself and a ruler and a scale without firing something across the room, but I will say there are quite stiff. If I had another set I would just send these off to you, but you know what happens when you don't have a spare of something.
  3. I have two on the bench here and both of them measure exactly 2" long. The diameters are .42 inches. Hope this helps. These are from a non-overdrive trans.
  4. I seem to recall a small brass spacer crimped on one end of the inner cable. Consider turning the inner cable end for end and see if it works any better.
  5. Good job, you confused this American too !
  6. I got that kind of channel at JC Whitney.
  7. Great minds think alike. Funny is where you find it.
  8. Greg, were you watching Craig Ferguson last night?
  9. It's no wonder that Canadians are afraid to ask. Who wants to know their country is run by an unelected former news broadcaster?
  10. Jim, that is one pretty car. I've been sitting her staring at the picture. Beautiful.
  11. My brother-in-laws name is Chuck. He has a bad leg. I call him lean chuck. When he fell down, we called him ground chuck. His son Jim is a pilot for Southwest. When he takes his dad up, he calls him upchuck. We had a good laugh. He didn't.
  12. Two dyslexics walked into a bra.
  13. It might also be grease or brake fluid contaminating a shoe or two that makes it feel that way. Look for leaks.
  14. Since the beginning of this thread, people that have your best interests at heart have been telling you to just go get it. How could you possibly be sorry if you did? You know you will be sorry if you don't. Isn't it obvious to you what you need to do? We all see it, and I think you do too, so, just go do what needs to be done. In the words of Red Green, "Remember, we're all in this together".
  15. If its running lean, it will backfire through the carb, and gas would not be running raw into the exhaust.
  16. It sounds like you may be getting raw gas in your exhaust, running too rich? Too high an idle speed?
  17. I have been using good old friction tape.
  18. Wanna try putting the camera in a baggie and see what kind of picture you get? If it works, let us know.
  19. Rodney, I have used your method of putting little loose things in a box. Lost the box.
  20. If you have stainless steel trim around your windshield, you have a Special DeLuxe. The only way I can find stuff I put away so I don't lose it, is to go buy another one. The one I stowed will then immediately show up.
  21. Yeah, Frank, we Hoosiers need stuff like that explained to us. You gotta speak a little slower too. Seriously, I think I make up for people like that by pickng stuff up and putting it in a trunk or somewhere protected. Itd funny how I will neaten up a junkyard, but my garage needs somebody to straighten it up!
  22. Funny thing, Rodney, when I make sharp left and right turns at 40-50 mph, my tires squeal too. It does it not matter what I'm driving. So, why are you making sharp turns at 40-50 mph? Maybe you should just turn the radio up.
  23. Eric, what a great picture! A beautiful thing that bird.
  24. Instead, just call it common sense and courtesy.
