  1. I believe as far as OEM rims go those were only used for a couple years. Are you sure they're beyond use?
  2. Yes you swap pickup and pan together. The pickup swaps easily into the same port. Rear sumps are easily found from cars around 54 back and even trucks prior to the pilot house era. I didn't even know there were front sumps until I bought a pilot house engine from Merle to put in my WC. I swapped out that pan and it now resides in a certain moderators 1 ton
  3. Depending on where the cross members end up you guys might need to swap oil pans. There are front and rear sump and I think even mid sumps in later cars.
  4. I've got an original bulb out of my 48 if that will help any. It's stamped in ink 1948 on the back within a few days of my coupes build date
  5. Are they 49 suburban bumpers or standard car bumpers?
  6. They can't see both ends at the same time. We've gotten away with running a yom plate on the front and the actual plate on the rear for decades
  7. Apparently spring they go until basically the end of the school year
  8. Thanks so much guys I'm sure the kids will love them
  9. That head/valve config is certainly a poly V8. With the transmission I'd guess a 318. Curious about Andys post of the 727. My 64 belvedere does have a push button setup and a park lever. I wonder if there was a transition period where park existed along with pushbuttons
  10. That looks like the grill off a 41 so I'd say just before the war. Probably built for auto show type demonstrations
  11. Some of those look like truck stuff that U shaped piece is likely truck along with the bushings for it
  12. Straight and 90° will interchange they just pump at a slightly different spot in the rotation. I will say when installing a fresh pump I've found to get it started the engine needs to be running by dumping a little down the carb. For some reason just battery cranking isn't enough to get them going
  13. Yes that would be awesome!
  14. My 4th graders class is doing a 50 states postcard challenge...and maybe a few foreign countries for kicks. Anyone willing/able to drop a postcard to: Sunnyside Elementary School C/O Hannah Vessey 2070 County H New Brighton, MN 55112
  15. As far as I know he moved with it to his son's and his son still has it.
  16. Ok am I missing something? Earlier in the thread we're using metric to sae adapters and then later it sounds like 3/16 fits.
  17. The filler goes through the cab to the frame mounted gas tank.
  18. Yes the wood is custom with what appears to be an extra hood script in the center.
  19. Couple things first welcome! Love the truck I have 2 WCs myself. First is stock second I'm working on with a 218 5spd swap and modern rear gear. I completely agree get it going first. You may find you love it as is. Personally other than washing it I wouldn't touch that body. You are also in luck the gas tank in stock position is already outside the cab.
  20. If the original poster was just looking for some top speed I'd agree with you. However with their large list of other mods why keep the stock diff and brakes? Disks up front and maybe even in the rear sounds appropriate to me. I've got a 48 plymouth with a 3.73 swapped in and an overdrive too. I've also got a 47 dodge 1/2 ton with a modern rear and a 5spd.
  21. That clean in there I would say certainly it's been overhauled in some manner.
  22. Yes last weekend working on converting my 64 belvedere to electronic ignition. Needed to solder 1 wire. Spent more time looking for the solder than it would have taken to drive to the store and get another roll. Was just about to do that when I found it in a random drawer of the toolbox.
  23. I'm using a Chrysler temp gauge in my plymouth after swapping the mounting plate and the face.
  24. Yes they are a one year only ornament and to make it worse 39 looks very similar. I looked on eBay and couldn't find one for sale or even a recent listing. Not sure if that link will work if it doesn't just good 40 dodge good ornament https://images.app.goo.gl/y37fi2xXiaZhnPQC9
  25. That 8v battery gives you brighter lights but is supposed to shorten bulb life
