  1. It's certainly possible to DIY. I did my 48 using the shop manual and the old harness as guides. I used modern wire and upped all the 16 to 14. Matched the other gauges as listed. Another point here the shop manual doesn't list the gauges on the P15 wiring but the book I have covers 46-54 so I just used the later models for gauge reference

  5. The group that runs ours has an aluminum track that breaks down into small sections. They setup at our location and then handle all the timing of the cars.
  6. If you want an interesting read check out boulevard photographic. Talks about all the tricks they did to make the cars look good in the pre Photoshop film age

  10. The nut spins on the line but shouldn't move once tightened. Make sure it's tight and if it is I would suggest removing it and seeing if there is a split. Also is the line isolated from the engine by a rubber segment?
  11. Z car he named Zag and it won third overall. That's Leo's and he was so happy to win finally as this is his last year in competition
  12. We competed this past weekend. Got a 3rd place, and then scouts choice and cub masters choice awards.
  13. The OEM goes in the same hole as the vacuum lever
  14. I think I've got a full set of those sitting here. The tricky part is they require an additional hole so it's not easy to revert back if you needed to
  15. 4/3 was storage removal day. It was postponed from 4/1 due to snow. Drove the 64 wagon, 46 pickup, 51 convert, and 55 new Yorker home without much issue. The 55 did need a couple jump starts. The 51 spare key we left with the storage didn't actually work so we had to go home for a real key.

  17. W series OEM would be the motor veemoney posted. For 12v I've heard of people using hatch back wipers from modern cars.

  19. IDK if it was $ or the challenge but I'm on my second rebuilt out of the garbage Honda mower. Neither house I've had was big enough to need a rider but I salvaged these push mowers. First one way back had a bent crankshaft and at the time I had a buddy that worked at a hardware store and got me the parts cheap. Swapped in the new crank along with blade and blade adapter and had an expensive mower for about $40. Second time another one with bent crank. This time no discount parts available but found a second mower with good motor and bad deck for $30 and made 1 out of 2. Now if we're hurrying the wife and I will both mow. Soon the boys will be able to chime in.

  21. My 94 Dad bought new. I bought it from him in 2000 with 80k on it and ran it up to 230k. It needs major repairs now
  22. From what I recall you need a 56 only starter. Otherwise you would need to use a 57-60? starter and matching flywheel or have a 56 gear put in the later starter.
  23. Even the actual bumper doesn't really cover the end of the frame. However I'd encourage you to reconsider since you've done so much I'd hate to see it get dinged
  24. We might all know them as driveshafts now but my 94 Dakota shop manual still calls it a propeller shaft
  25. Just over grease them and then the first time Dad goes to leave they fall apart... At least that's how I accidentally did it once on the 50 Plymouth
